My favorite site has more to with the lyric writing aspect of song writing...
Rhyme Zone!

Sometimes I go there when I'm not necessarily looking for a rhyme... but rather just need to spark an idea.

My fave is probably the Gibralter Encyclopedia of Progressive Rock. Not sure about how to link to things but it's easy to search for.

I have lately enjoyed the widgets and features of ReverbNation.com

I just posted the draft mixes of my prog band, Audiocracy, on ReverbNation, as well as the first mixes of my jazz ensemble, Rain Bather, and really like the interface. I hope Macjams can be as easy to navigate and understand, some day.

Once a year I have my students go into the computer lab at school and I let them play around on the New York Philharmonic Kidzone. For elementary/middle school kids, it just can't be beat. Excellent content, well-crafted games, superior navigation. And it's all free!

all of my boys are big python fans... so we had to see Spamalot... I have to say "the song that goes like this" was killer... but we laughed through the whole thing
