"Hallelujah" Thread
Monday, November 14 2016 @ 08:35 PM CST

Since Leonard Cohen has just passed (note: entirely without our permission! ...) perhaps we should memorialize his one perhaps-most iconic song, “Hallelujah™” with a list of our most-iconic performances of it.

To this end, I herewith offer two:

Rufus Wainright

Pentatonix

Kindly add yours ... and please, enjoy.    After all, this is “a memorable song.”

Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" was the first song I tried orchestrating to my piano version (from 2007 I think). This was before I'd even discovered MJ:

Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen) and Variations

my most recent song: "First Light (solo piano)"

Without a doubt - my fave.

It's better to regret something you have done, than something you haven't done.

One of my most fav singers, singing one of my most fav songs. The tens of thousands of little candlelights held by people surrounding her, by the way, bring me to a universe of warm and comforting stars. Brings tears every time...
