I'm STILL looking for an answer to this basic question:

What is the difference between our embedded players and the players found on the Jam pages?

--- Joe

?
Source code on the pages tells me one is a

"object type 'application/x-shockwave-flash' (/xspf/xspf_player.swf)"

the other is a

"iframe name 'music_player' (/scripts/quicktime.php)"

Those are not the same, right?

I'm guessing that's the case... but have NO clue what it means. Laughing Out Loud

Except to say Safari DOES handle the Flash Player okay, so it is apparently NOT a FLASH problem, but rather some kind of basic QuickTime problem.

But how the hell could APPLE'S Safari have a problem with APPLE'S QuickTime... when none of the other browsers do?

Stranger and stranger...

I'm using Safari 3.04; Listening to your player, which started atomically. Your music sounds great, by the way. I don't have a player so I can't duplicate the problem, but that reveals the difference between the player on your page and the others. When you view your page there are a lot of edit options and stuff, it is not the same page that I view while enjoying your songs. There may still be a few bugs on the "My Profile" pages that Safari is picking up, because is does tend to be fussier than FireFox.

Thanks, Bill... and for the unexpected props, too. But the problem I have exhibits itself no matter which artist tune I try to listen to... not just mine. When I click to play, the player disappears and never comes back... and then Safari crashes if I try to click on anything else. Very weird.
