Guitar to iPad?
Friday, December 09 2016 @ 01:04 PM CST

Hi MacJammers!!!

Long time, no talk!!

Anywhooo... I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations for Guitar to iPad plug-ins/adapters??

I'm getting back into "home recording" and like the mobility of the iPad...

Either headphone input or lightning input...

Any and all recommendations appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Cheers!

Hey Jimmy, hope all's well and glad to see you checking in here at the old folks home...

Check out Apogee interface for guitar and iPad

iPad apps:
AmpKit, iShred LIVE, and JamUp Pro

With headphones on the sound is great, no latency.

Take a listen >>> Texas Tango

iRigPro is also nice since it also has a mic input.

Line 6 Sonic Port VX is a great interface. It also works as an interface for other apps like Bias, AmpKit, Audiobus, GarageBand iRig... You will have to download the free Mobile POD app and turn it on to use as an interface for other apps, it will run in the background. Sonic Port has worked on everything I've downloaded so far. The VX version is also a mic which could come in handy for vocals or acoustic recordings. It will work as an interface for your iPad, iPhone or mac. I have the earlier version that does not include the mic or the option to use with a mac but I'm very happy with it. The app that comes with it has effects that to me sound the best.
