I'm glad you appreciated the perspective this collection provides, Jack. While I have imagined the musical evolution that's taken place over the years from bits and pieces I've heard separately, this video lays out a good audible presentation of that progression. Wink

Fun and informative to watch. I wonder what kind of analysis went into determining what made these picks the top song of the year. (There are a number of different ways to reach that conclusion.) I didn't keep track of the songs I knew and the ones I wasn't familiar with, but I was solid from 1920 to 1990 : )

Fun, extremely interesting and very varied of course. It's interesting to see how old some of the songs I recognised were, I had no idea some of them dated from the 1800s.
