Day one. Nothing unusual happened. Maybe you could relax a little? In deference to your stern, heart felt warning, please keep all informed if ya feel something hit.

Hopefully it won't pass the Senate without some major improvements or not pass at all. How can these characters in the House be insensitive and cruel to the vulnerable?

Frankly, I think that the media is too-fixated on the idea of ... “Why, this is exactly what ‘Tricky Dick’ did!   We can be the newspaper that forced this President to (of course ...) be impeached or to resign!”   For whatever reason, they palpably despise this Officeholder, and this hatred has completely stripped-away their objectivity as a reporting service.   They have an agenda ... and I don’t like it.

“The Russians™,” of course, are “the inevitable American Booger-Man,” ready to compel an entire new generation to Duck And Cover 2. (By the way, this link is to a hilarious ... but much more realistic ... re-make of that 1950’s video.)   If anyone suggests that The Russians™ had anything to do with why Hillary Clinton lost the election – then, of course, it must be true.   If anyone suggests that The Russians™ re-programmed a nationwide vote-counting process from half-a-planet away – then, of course, it must be true.   If anyone suggests that The Russians™ have a puppet in the White House – ditto.

Frankly, long before the election, this FBI Director was grabbing playbook-entries from “J Edgar at his very worst.”   His conduct of the Agency was extremely political:   he was going after Trump and after Hillary at the same time, albeit for different reasons.   He also seemed to be grabbing headlines when he testified to Congress.   Which is not exactly what I would expect a law-enforcement investigator to be doing.   He needed to go.   I wonder why Mr. Obama appointed him in the first place, and I certainly wonder why Mr. Trump kept him until now.

To my way of thinking, “the Federal Bureau of Investigation” should spend 150% of its time “investigating.”   Nothing more.   It should not be discussing its investigations in news conferences.   Neither should it be picking “high-profile targets” such as Presidents or Presidential Candidates.   Its job should be to conduct in-depth investigations of anything that the Department of Justice and/or the Attorney General has selected for it:   it should basically serve as a fairly-boring internal service agency that is very-routinely circumspect about what cases are actually on its internal docket.   Therefore, if its Director is “grand-standing,” as I think that this man most-definitely did, I think he needs to go bye-bye.   (We don’t(!) need J Edgar Hoover again!)
