Lyrics
Vanilla- and chocolate.
In many ways we're like vanilla and chocolate.

Sunshine-and moonlight.
In many ways we're like the sunshine and moonlight.

But I'm not afraid to hold your hand.
We will do the best that we can even though we are vanilla and chocolate.

Analog-and digital.
In many ways, we are like analog and digital.

But I'm not afraid to hold your hand.
We will do the best that we can even though we are vanilla and chocolate.

Lucky I have a sweet tooth baby.
Lucky I have a sweet tooth for you.
I'm glad I have a sweet tooth for-chocolate.

But I'm not afraid to hold your hand.
We will do the best that we can even though we are vanilla and chocolate.

Vanilla and chocolate...

fun
this is a great song. it's fun and light (if that makes sense).
i think the vocals should be moved more to the center,
but that's just my opinion (maybe you like them where
they are, and that's more important).

*happy*
Your voice is very pretty, and suited perfectly to the style,
and the piano part is great.

This song makes me all happy :) :) :) Especially the
bridge section and when it picks up with the drums again
after.

Welcome back
Thanks for sharing this one it is so nice to hear your music
again. Sometimes when I create ideas I always wonder if Arin
is listening because she inspires me to write happy sounding
tunes and that's where I'm at. Happy!

Write more and keep on posting.

Glad to be back
What a nice comment Legato! It made me smile. I'm glad that I can inspire
you to write happy sounding tunes. It's kinda interesting because I didn't
really feel any of my early early songs (none are on MacJams) were very happy
at all. They were actually all pretty sad and depressing-sounding-like and
focusing more around problems and such and such....but then one day I
thought, "Hey--what am I doing? What's going on with this? or something
like that---and started to work towards creating a more happy sound---
which has been a good reflection upon all the happy things in my life---
ummm....yes. Either that--or I have mastered the art of turning my
unfortunate experiences in my life into positive ones to just help me get
through them. Hee hee. : ) Thanks for listening!

so glad you're back
And even more glad that the arrangements and recordings
of this new piece evolved so beautifully. On the
forefront still this disarming simplicity that makes your
songs so precious. This is beautiful. As ever.

Now why could that not be found on a CD in some music store. You are
very good at what you do. I enjoyed very much.

Great...
song but... Yes there is a "but", but it really isn't that bad. It seems the
vocals are panned to my left and I think the background vocals that
come in every now and then should maybe counter balance this by
being on the right, or have the main vocals up front and center, with
the background vocals panned to either side. Just some suggestions
from some guy who knows nothing about anything. Cheers! :)

Another good one
If I start humming a song today and for some reason my audio memories
of the tune have vocals only on the left side, I know it's you. ;)
Excellent singing here, I also like the lyrics and melody and keyboards.
I thought the drums were a little heavy in the mix, I might lower the
volume on them a smidge. And bring up the synth that playing bass
counterpoint a bit.

hee hee hee-- thats funny : )
maybe that could be my trademark-- or what makes me well known-- my
left-sidedness..... although-- that probably wouldnt be the best thing to be
well known for....

anyway-- thanks again for the great tips! I really appreciate your comments
because not only do you give a balance of positive feedback and things to
work on-- you actually give suggestions on how to go about doing that--
and that really helps!

thanks again-

BTW, If you can find some early Beatles stereo mixes you'll find that the vocals
are all panned to one channel and the instruments to the other.

Good Piano and Harmonies
I really liked the piano break in the middle and throughout the song.

Drums could have been a little less busy for my tastes, which by the way favors chocolate, but good vocal harmony.

And if I might add one more comment I'd watch out using the falsetto technique (like The Cranberries singer). It is used so often now by female singers that it starts to sound derivative.

Awesome
This is so sweet and lovely and brilliant it was a pleasure to listen to thanks for posting it. You've the most gorgeous voice. I really like the way this is put together you've got me jamming to it on the piano :) love the bit towards the end when the piano takes over just before "lucky i have a sweet tooth"
