Description
A Hip-Hopish beat with a little Rock Guitar. This was originally a drum track that I liked to play my guitar on top of until I decided to turn it into a song. I was upset with my 15 year old son because of his not really putting up an effort in anything, especially his school work...."Half-Stepping" is what that kind of action is called. So, it kinda started out as a message to him and "Love It Or Leave It Alone" is the result.

Lyrics
You got to love it or leave it alone
And if we catch you half-stepping
Find yourself on your own.

Can't act right
You keep on falling behind
Things don't work out
You feel you're wasting your time.

Get back on track
Who promised you you would win?
The game don't play that
Stand up or get knocked down again.

Ain't got the right stuff.
Just don't have what it takes.
Well enough is enough.
Don't want to here of your past mistakes.

Time starts right now
To leave the past in the past
Be the best and Be proud
And scream your truth out loud
Because because.....

Cool song
Reminds me a little of When Dove's Cry - a good thing. I can identify with the lyrics - I've got teens. Great vocals and killer guitar.

Prince Vibe, Huh??
Prince is my hero!!! Master of every musical instrument known to man and woman. A voice that can leap from chest voice to head voice to falsetto and back again all in the same key. Can out dance Michael Jackson, James Brown, Justin Timberlake with just one twirl. Got fashion style equal to no one else. Helluva live performer. He's kinda handsome too and can play the hell out of a guitar. My hero!!

:)
The vibe is Prince but your voice is closer to Lenny Kravitz...this is all good but I feel you will eventually break into your own just record and post more songs, keep them coming.

You Are Right!!
This song definitely could use some re-working....When I listen to, it makes me remember how I fell in love with Garageband way back when (2007). I found all these cool sounding drum loops that allowed me to finally pick up my electric guitar and wail. Prior to GB, I had not touched my Strat for almost 7 years. I had no amp and my acoustic was my best friend, next to my wife. This song happened right after I discovered that I could record my voice thru that little pin hole in the front of my eMac. And you know what, to this very day, I still record my voice the exact same way. One day I will get one of them fancy mics and mixer to record my voice....one day.....some day......some way......
