Description
Why do we have two classical sections? *shrugs*

One of my rare self-composed no-loop notational software pieces. As ever, I'm limited by software and the result is rather synthetic sounding, but there's not a lot I can do about that.....

Vespers is the evening prayer service - I started to write this in the evening, being inspired by the gorgeous cloud colours and formations that were rolling past my window.

elf. You have a very nice sound going on here. But I am not an expert.. Sounds really good to my two ears. Beautiful. Just like your beautiful smiling face :)

A very enjoyable listen indeed.

Sweet sound.
A recommendation on the "synthy" sound. I've found that often if you play with the note velocity you can change how "synthy" the sound is.

If you have the control, some of the modules allow you to mess with attack times, decay times etc.

There were places in this that I think I more gentle (less velocity) sound would make it sound more realistic.

I actually don't find that many places in this that need much work. They don't sound synthy in a bad way.

Nicely done actually! Very nice.

beautiful! this is skillfully composed and orchestrated. the recording itself could be a little more dynamic, though.

hmmm...
The composition is fine...

The strings are realistic enough, I cannot understand why you don't use your own voice instead of the synthetic voices...

Remember I'm still waiting for a sample of YOUR voice- (isn't that saying something Averil Ticolindo?!)

Nuff said!

;)

Voice..
That may have something to do with the fact that I'm suffering from a lymph gland infection (well, recovering from now, the swelling has gone down) leaving me with a sore, hoarse throat and unable to sing for the time being...... lol!

Eddie's advice re: velocity manipulation is very sound. It's a bit tedious and time consuming, but you'll be amazed at the difference it makes. Your composition and orchestration here are really excellent, so IMHO it'd be very worth it for you to take this next step - you've certainly got the chops!

The strings sound pretty good...
the music sounds like a nice vesper hymn. The synth choir is ok. I always like when the composer mentions the equipment/software he/she used for his/her piece. Keep posting!

Nicely done. In a couple of spots, a little counterpoint in the instruments might bring out the voices more. As Magantone says, the dynamics and articulation take the time, but are worth it.

Yeah
I agree with your own comments and those of others - it's a lovely composition which suffers from the artificial sound of the strings (and other instruments). That said, though, it is a lovely piece of music.
