Description
This song had been sitting unfinished for a while when I realised this morning that all it needed was monk chanting.
Odd how often that happens.

Lyrics
Old first love, who draws from you now?
and where did I hide you?
I feel you rise underneath now and then,
beneath the surface of such stormy seas
as I have rallied through these dozen years.

There must have been something missing from the end,
a fragment lost along the way.

Oh my dear, what were the words that you needed to hear?
Though the feelings gone from my memory, you still remind me
of the stormy seas we might have crossed and even calmed over the years.

You must have seen something missing in me,
a fragment lost along the way.

I'll never know what was missing from the end.
I'll never get another chance like that again.

That's
What I'm talking about. Geez, why couldn't you see that, I mean the first thing I thought about 5 seconds in was, man he better have some monks chanting on this or else he should have just bagged this one...;-)

I am constantly amazed at your level of production and mixing prowess. Complex, poetically simple simultaneously. This song is just crystalline in it's clarity and just plain tasti-ness. The guitar solo is uber-tasty!

I'm gonna have to study this one. D/L and fav'd.

whoa nelly
wow I dig these vox - backup and lead both - really out of sight dude - also love the way the tune nearly falls into dissonance here and there but then pops right out into sunny pop. great instrumentation - again, really creative and different, in an interesting and good way. i've got to go and see what else you've got out here - this is really, really good - like indie soul rock or something. actually, it's chris lee only with a bunch of creativity to go with the technical ability. Cool.
