My guitar is knackered
This started out as something totally different. When I was out recording the sea I thought something along the lines of, "Why am I intruding here?"
Hence the middle bit.
Re the title - I've been setting up, ie buggering up my electric guitar. It's good for slide now, but it's otherwise unplayable by human beings. Sigh.
Thank you, Feter, for your kind remarks.

So kind
My iMac is driving me up the wall. I don't think it can cope with 10.5. Still I persevered, as I wanted to get this tune into some sort of shape, as it seemed like a good pattern. (Peace, intrusion, sad peace.)
I'm glad you got it.

Transitions
My favorite yet, I like the transitions.

Cheers
The next one is entitled "Black and Decker, Kitten, Black and Decker." It will have interesting transitions.

Tranquil
On a calm night you can hear the sea like it's in the room with you. It's very pleasant.
Thanks for the kind comments.

Fine guitars ..

.. overall gave me shades of Pink Floyd and Berlin's "take my breath away" for some reason. Mellow .. washes over you .. the car going past at the end caught me by shupplies at least. Intrusion on natures rhythms, cool.

It was a Toyota
... not that it matters. I liked the idea of the sea becoming a car swishing by. At my home in the UK we can hear the traffic of the M6 motorway, and my mother pretends it's the sea so that she doesn't feel too oppressed.
Any notion of my guitar sounding anything like David Gilmour is most welcome. Thank you very much.

Now I hear it! I was thinking Pink floyd at the time, honest, guv!

Nice gull.
Like the acoustic sound you've good here. Definitely can hear why the Gilmour comparisons. Good balanced feel to the whole piece. Great work.

Gull friend
A real gull flew by as I was recording the sea, and of course, slide guitar sounds a bit like gulls, so it's a very gullified (gullible?) recording. Thank you for listening.

Deep
Very nice chords, adds a mystic sound to the sea theme. The break into rock was not expected and was a clean transition. I love the pumped up bass in your mix. but as the song once again enters that oceanic feel the mood change is fitting. I did enjoy the flight home too . . .

Sorry
I didn't see this comment until today! Many thanks for your kind words. All sound effects are genuine South Andros Bahamas. They mark my departure from that island to the busy metropolis of Freeport.

Very exciting
Ah, here's the dry sense of humor. Indeed. Agreed. My favorite part of this is the break into the 1:50+ groove, which comes as an unexpected shift into a higher gear -- the gears of progress, I suppose, the bass drum stomping the crap out of whatever gets in the way. Your arrangements are sparse, in a leave-them-wanting-more kinda way. Very classy. I won't make the PF comparison. Pensive moments of acoustic guitarishness are not owned by PF. The sound fx here do much to say what you want to say.

Porcupine Floyd?
Most of my songs have an "unexpected" bit, which makes them expected, I suppose. The middle bit is indeed "progress", which still hasn't really impacted South Andros (so the internet doesn't work very well).
I had a morning of Crim today, followed by the first 8 songs on your MJ page. I'm in awe at how you manage to create similar epic soundscapes that don't sound home - made. Seriously impressed.
