Lyrics
Passion And Fury

a blue veil of smoke from her lips
a blazing stare that burns from within
copper hair that fans out like flames
she can melt every single man

chorus:
passion and the fury
the volcano blows
did it taste like vengeance
i asked her because i needed to know
the heat from her breathe...haaa

trails of embers from where she steps
the way she walks gyrating hips
blue sparks fly from her high heel shoes
and she will walk all over you

chorus:
passion and the fury
the volcano blows
did it taste like vengeance
i asked her because i needed to know
the heat from her breathe...haaa

burned out souls left in her wake
knows what she wants knows what she takes
fans the flames with gasoline
agents of fortune burned away

chorus:
passion and the fury
the volcano blows
did it taste like vengeance
i asked her because i needed to know
the heat from her breathe...haaa

psychedelic
I think psychedelic fits it well. the sitar part alternating with heavy guitar is really great.
The "haaa" part is an interesting hook. I like little hard-to-classify song elements like that.
Great job.

old style psychedelic
had so many ways of approaching music. that was something that sunk into me at my young & impressionable youth. not so much the flowers in the hair but the idealogy of it.

Femme Fatale!!!
Did I spell that right? : ) Isn't the answer always the same - because she can - "She had been born with a face that would let her get away. He saw that face and he lost all control." (Bob Seger) Maybe what was burned away wasn't fortune at all? Anyhoo.... great new song for my iPod Vicar, thankyou! : )

the idea is from a few movies. fatal attraction, black widow and anything with Betty Davis, except "whatever happened to baby jane". . . well, maybe some guys may of thought of her as "hot" in that one. :-D

Fine furies
Psychedelic works for me. I always love your songs Vic ... you never disappoint. Very clever tearing guitars towards the end.

I have copper hair ... but I can never be bothered to get very furious. Too many drugs in my youth probably.

actually no sitars where harmed during the making of this number. just guitar work, but there are ways to fake it. I wouldn't even know how to tune one of those things even if i had one :-)

Another great tune Vic. So many interesting things going on. Love the percussive sound effects in this.

Vocal is exceptionally good this time bro. Also dig the contrasting textures of your guitars throughout.

Excellent!

Be well bro!

Hey Mike
Thanks. I started this close to a month ago. I kept changing parts to the point where nothing from the original remained. by working on it at 15 to 20 minutes at any given time, also presented the idea of working non-linear.

Hmmm, that gal gets around doesn't she?

voices
i was thinking that the verse section was an narrater and the chorus was more first person

the verse part i copied the vocal and ran it through a ring modulator plug in and narrowed the eq. then blend them together to give it a bit of strangeness

I appreciate the listen Clark

Could this be the track that was left off of
Rubber Soul,

Great work Vic, with a definite Beatles feel and sound to it, but even more than that. I can also hear influences from other psychedelic groups from the late 60's and early 70's.

Love the song, the sound, and the mix. And you singing on this one is fantastic Vic.

Kudos my friend for a great job, and thanks for the trip,

Psychedelic...or
Great tune, not so much Psychedelic for me as maybe early 70's Glam, sort of like from Velvet Goldmine soundtrack, Bowie, TRex, eh? I realy Dig it! I think I would up the tempo just a hair, drums a tiny bit sluggy, but it's a keeper!

This is excellent work. There are several things you did very well here - like create a very cool wall of sound with the various guitar textures; very creative and interesting chord progressions, and you have lots of cool things going on throughout the entire piece, which makes it enjoyable to listen to from start to finish. Very nice - thanks for sharing this.
