power pop
mighty fine tune. i hear the inspirations coming through.

those recorded clean tones on the strat are so crisp.

I like the getting down to biz on the solo.

Love that first chord....
...and the one right after it is pretty cool, too... There's something in the way that you voice chords that sounds great on its own, and also really suits the way you play lead...

The sonic quality of your drums is much better than in the old days. And are you playing bass on a bass or on the Strat? Nicely melodic bass, in any case...

We heartily approve of the extended guitar solo... Let me know when you and Vic are doing that duet collab I know you have in you...

Gotta love a strat
And a great tune.

If I may, I think I would like it even more if the tempo was just a tad faster. But still a solid offering.

Always impressed
by the restraint you show, it would have been very easy to get very loud and more distorted with this.
But your class is allowed to come through naturally.
Great track.
Cheers

Underrated
I think you're one of the most underrated cats around hear. You have a signature sound.

Great tune,

love the riff that carries the verse. you've got an immediately recognizable voice, i know i've said it before but it's a pleasure to listen to, on this one you push it a bit seems out of your comfort zone which is cool. Really is a combination of straight ahead part bits ala Replacements and then unexpected changes ala Wilco - great execution of your concept dude. Love the lead with the little arpeggio bits. Also love the buzzy solo that carries things out.

Great tune
and great guitar work. Vocals fit perfect. I hear a little boominess in the lower mids. Maybe a touch of final EQ would make it shine?

Yeah!
You are really integrating your strat into your songwriting these days. It is like one propels the other. The strat enhances the song and the song gives the strat to be in a cool groove. It was good to hear you really rock out on this one.

Nice
Lo fi power pop rules!
great strat tone, really like chorus on this one, beautiful guitar part behind the chorus.
Chorus could be made a bit "bigger" maybe? some backing vocals, tambourine, louder cymbals, something like that?
However, there's not much to quibble about here.
I also enjoyed the little instrumental bridge with the major seventh chords. that was cool!
Also the distorted strumming at the end. Lots of good ideas here.
nice post!!
