Description
With a new intro and corrected lyrics here's my 78 year old dad singing and playing his heart out.
Robert Solorio and Amar Y Vivir
He plays the guitar intro and background classical guitars. I jump in and offer a solo, along with all the background instruments.

Muchas gracias
Ever since I was a boy I heard my father sing and play and truly entertain. At many family events, him and his sister would bring song and everyone would enjoy it. Even if it was the hundredth time we heard it. His heart always came through.

Now I get to share that heart with you, so thanks for the listen and being a part of a 50 year tradition.

Thanks again for the second listen
My dad is funny, he's wanting to do more recording, but only live work, none of this multi take, headphone wearing session work. We'll see how it goes.

joder! esta cancion es una maravillosa!!
roy, this is amazing....and your father sings incredibly. was he/is he performing professionally. this is the most professional song i've heard here. why are you so unknown on this site???? i would definitely choose this one over resonate to go into your top song of 2009. deep bows of awe. tell your dad he has a fan in me...when is he getting his own macjam profile? will he sing for me if i write something in spanish for him?

I'll let him know!
He never performed as a professional, he's not a trained musician. It's all by heart in the romantic sense. I can't speak for him, but I can say that at 78 he has trouble singing the songs he knows. I love him to bits, but a recording musician he's not. If we do more together, it will be a live performance capture.

Wow!! This is friggin' awesome. So authentic and
organic. I see where you get your chops. We should all so lucky to sing like your dad at 78...or at 28 for that matter. Great solo work on your part. Wonderful arrangement and production.
