Description
I've added a sax line to this early work. I think it helps. Love to hear your thoughts.

Cool!
Woo hoo! Always cheers me up to hear a new piece of yours. Interesting, insistent rhythmic quality here upon which the whole thing hangs, which works really well. Some occasional harmonic dissonances there suggesting something darker in the distance, but I like the sax addition. Very cool stuff... it'd be nice to hear more of it!

If...
it bring you some cheer, even with - or maybe especially with - a bit of dissonance, then I'm a happy composer, Clark.
Best,
Charlie

Tightrope
hey Bowman - i'm not sure i heard the original, but the sax in here is very cool, and as Clark said, there's a feel of something "darker in the distance" that really holds your attention. Cool use of the wood blocks - this is really good!

I like...
...how the sax sails over the rhythmic pizzicato. Works very nicely, Charlie. Love to hear it with a real sax. Got a soprano in mind?

Dreamy
A magic track, I'm floating away ...
Beautiful dreamy soundscapes.
The sax provides a personal note and makes the music richer ...

I was
enjoying this nicely when it ended far too quickly LOL ..........there's a 'taughtness' about this in the way it has an edgy, slightly dangerous feel; which is what walking a tightrope would be...... especially for me. Great instrumentation and choice of sax and strings, regards M

I actually
saw a circus/burlesque type show yesterday and this would have fitted perfectly. Very much enjoyed and would have liked more.
Cheers

One day
I'll coax that circus in my mind to stay on stage a little longer.
I think I'll have to give them a bonus or something.
Thanks Len,
Charlie

What will happen next?
This is a wonderful mix of tension and possibility. The sax was a brilliant choice here - it almost gives the whole thing a foreign sound that is a nice foil to the pizz strings and bass drum. It plays out like a short story. My only nit - I would love to hear a longer version where you develop the piece more with other wonders from your bag of inspiration.

Thanks Charlie,
Be well,
Doug

That bag of inspiration is a cool thing to have -
trouble is I keep loosing track of that dang thing -
but it's got to be around here... somewhere.

As always thanks Doug.
Cheers,
Charlie
