Description
A song about certain sorts I see on the train in Japan. My favorite things about this song are the made-up verb and crap reference to the A-Team. Not finished.

Lyrics
See that big bloke? He harbours an addiction to Guns n Ammo, he's got a subscription. He was leafing through the back, getting bored of bombs and tanks. He saw an advert - learn fighting in Japan.
And instantly, he realises that what he's holding in his hands could mean he could have power - the key to all his hopes and dreams and so, rushing off the lav, he asked his mum if he could have some money for an airline ticket. And yeah, she gladly gave it...now he's a fat ninja ninja-ing.

Have you seen them on the Tobu-Noda line? They sit together, which is fine. They seem to only talk about, basically, a load of nowt but they're warriors and not known for their wit.
See deadliness walking, they know seven ways to kill a man. Defenders of justice, fighters for democracy and so, if you've got a problem and no-one else can really help. Maybe you can call...and yeah, if you can find them...those fat ninjas ninja-ing. Fast ninjas ninja-ing.

hilarious
Love it. Very dry lyrics - very englishman in Japan. Lovely production - very precise and underplayed. All in all I can't think how you could make it any better. Great. What's it like living in Japan?

LOL, conjures up Chris Farley in "Beverly Hills Ninja" for me. Love your casual clean sound. Somehow you make simplicity sound full. Awesome

Where are
those ninjas when a girl needs them? Really nice singing. This has such sweet playing and such unabashedly irreverent lyrics. I think you could sing about anything and make it fun. Thank you.

Wonder what
your Japanese friends think of this?
Another very enjoyable song, performance and production. You have an extremely warm and very distinctive style all of your own.
Cheers
Len

the deadly palm...
This a cool vibe, the tongue-in-cheek point of view of the peaceful guy, reflected in the laidback melody. Amazing how you can sing from a prose text.

Ninjas are out. Blackwater is the new ninja, when it comes to defend democracy.

You're a very observant fellow aren't you?
Ha ha...

This is my fave by you so far. The quirky concept works for me, and the overall arrangement is really nice. I love the understated "Secret Agent Man" feel you get on your guitar during the turnarounds...

Be well friend!

Interesting story. I've only visited Japan once and didn't come across the type, but I can imagine. The touch of asking his mum for the airfare is nice.

Fat Ninjas
The name alone is worth a million bucks. Love the A-Team nods. How did the poor and down-trodden find the A-Team when the government/military never could? Like Bin Laden, but with a van.

The song is out of this world. As usual. Every time you put up a song I flip out and send a link to my buddy.

I WAS GONNA SAY..
..killer lyrics, but then the pun was tooooo much! I really liked the music, Ste, very laid back. You should play this for Shawn, he'd either laugh his head off or put you in a ninja hold. I won't be able to see 'em on the train, now, without thinking of this. Very catchy!

hi ste! sorry i'm so late getting to this! smokey referring to the lyrics as "dry" is exactly right on, and that's what makes the delivery of them so PERFECT! i love how this song goes together, and your vocal work on it is just terrific! sorry again to be so late - glad i found it though!

I can't place it but the voice is so familiar sounding. Colin Moudlin from XTC maybe. Love the guitar tracks and the pick bass. Great 80s British pop.
