Description
This is for my kindergarteners. "Imagine you are out hunting for the first time with your dad and the other hunters. You stay out for a whole week. At night, you sleep outside, next to a fire. When you look up, you see hundreds of stars. As it gets darker, you see more and more stars. You smell the smoke from the fire. You hear wolves howl far away. You cuddle down under your blanket, and someone begins to play their flute as you fall asleep..."

I think I did this in one take on my zoom. I can't find it anywhere on my computer, otherwise I'd bring down the volume a bit, and back off on the reverb.

I have begun podcasting for my kindergarten classes. I pick songs that are self written or public domain that we have learned in class, and then record 6 or 7 of them for the students to listen to and sing along with at home. It is a lot more time-consuming than I thought it would be. i'm only doing a podcast a month, now, as opposed to my original plans to do something every week, then every two weeks...

Yeah,
I tried to get a better version, but the pops are in that recording to stay. My only choice is to re-record, and I'd have to practice to do that.:)

I misread this at first;
'imagine you are out hunting for the first time for your dad with other hunters'...and thought whoa this lady has changed ! ! and then I became less befuddled and ooops my silly...but it was fun...nice piece as ever...that old VD....( that doesn't look good now that I have typed it)...Vic Diesel ...and his pops...what pops? nice one Kristine...

ps I'm sorry I cannot resist this......I am so naughty ,you wouild not tolerate me in your class !!

"You cuddle down under your blanket, and someone begins to play their flute as you fall asleep...yuo shout 'will you shut that b****y flute up ...this is NOT Band Camp".........sorry...I'll take a demerit

Lovely
This is very relaxing- I love the flute's sound. It's so nice that you wrote it for your kindergarteners.

This is
so haunting and beautiful, KJ. You've have really captured every nuance of the explanation you've written above. Such a peaceful night-song. I'm assuming the "zoom" is an acoustical flute of some kind, but not your pvc pipe. Whatever it is, it is certainly beautiful and well-played.

The Flute
Once again you captured the American Indian flue how it should be played. The flute is play on special occasions, death, sick, sorrow. Rarely with bells, drums, ect.

Flute like a wolf
Haunting flute. Wild and surreal. Transported to some timeless place in the forest.
Now, I would be listening, may be somewhat scared, instead of sleeping if I heard something like this in the night as I fell sleep. Imagination is wild too :-)

Haunting
I love the native american flute sound, and you do it justice. Maybe the pops are the spirits responding!

I like the reverb and general ambience of this recording. I bet your students enjoyed it!
