Lyrics
Kashiwa is a town that we have lived in for some years.
Kawaii are the girls. Yes, they are a lot of fun.
Now let's all just have a sing 'bout how nice that they are.
Sore shan, shan, shan, the birds in Kashiwa are great. Shan, shan, shan, the words in Kashiwa are shan shan.

i have no idea what that means, but you've certainly done something cool with it! i wish this was about twice as long and went off to a few more places to develop more. guess that's hard to do with a local city anthem though. i'll take it as is!

Kashiwa
What have we here....East meets West indie pop rock...a new genre? Whatever the label, I dig it.

Lotta layers here... singer with Cockney accent singing about Japanese place names, etc. Adds up to a very cool and original track. I dig the dry rhythm guitar, and the chirping insect percussion.

perfect guitar work - right where it should be, great tone. always know i'm going to hear something interesting and worth a listen when i click the play button on one of your tunes, this is no exception. cool concept, like the "girls" line, i like the shaker that falls in and out and as always really like your vocals and that sweet accent.

Hi Ste!
Niiiiiice! Love that bass line! And that insistent beat....

As always, your vocals are a real treat. You and Dick Langford should do a collab someday. Ha ha...

Enjoyed man!

Be well!

The intro
... is really cool how you get everything to "gel" into that catchy melody. (I dig that little reverse-sounding guitar effect in there too) A very nice tune!

Ste
Hey, this is cool! I like the intro: every single instrument that appears it gets better and better. And then the guitar and vox at unison. Seems you guys have fun over there!
I'm still smiling :-)

Are you in
danger of turning Japanese,I think you're turning Japanese ...I really think so..

This is much fun and much to short .it needs to be at least 3 minutes even if you just repeat it over with a little bridge to link it together ..a bit like one of those little japanese bridges that they have over Koi ponds.....

tottemo kawaii, desune!
Excellent... love the modern electric-guitar version of this Japanese tune. It reminds me a bit of the Surf-guitar versions of ancient Japanese folk melodies by "Munetaka Inoue and his 'Sharp Five'"... I totally wore out that LP long ago. Great singing, great arrangement and bass/guitar work... would love an extended version, as would the girls! :-)

Really liked this, short and sweet! Catchy. Started off a little rocky in terms of timing and mix, but it really came together with the vocals.

A true original
You probably don't think twice about it when you do it, but your tunes are so unique and original and CATCHY and great and a thousand other accolades. It's that attitude that makes your tunes that much cooler. Love everything about this. No smoke blowing here.

Nice One.....
Those Japanese ladies are fun, so is this track.....
It sounds like they are trying to sell their woman
in the translation, knowing that is not the case....
They do like to party with the rice wine, you should
have some and add another verse with a bridge.....

I........LIKE IT........

I think I'm talking Japanese. Love the northern vocal style. Loose and fun. With just a hint of ragged orientalism. Cheered me up no end.
