The Dawn

Online collaboration I wrote, sung and produced. It's supposed to be a soldier in battle at night. The "fierce, angry" parts depict the battle, and then the softer dreamy part is just that: him drifting to a safer place during daylight. I suppose I had him reinforcing the urgency for peace in his wishes. The eternal futile dream. And then he snaps back into reality and the anguish of the battlefield (at night). It was another tune that was therapy for me, as I quite often ponder the pain of battlefield.

The Dawn

I need your warmth, won't you bathe me in the light?
Give me some rest, as I'm weary from the fight
Daybreak seems a distant dream and I'm not sure I'll make it to the dawn

I need the light, let it warm a sorrowed soul
Let me feel safe, as I hear the day's sounds grow
I've fought the goodfight in my dreams but I'm not sure I'll make it to the dawn

Let there be peace, will yourself that it is so
Let this pain cease, and the light above to show
We've faced our fears so many times, Lord help us all to make it to the dawn

Very cool rockin tune
I really like the tone you have in your tracks, excellent guitar sound and well executed. I like that guitar effect too. Well done, sorry to hear about your voice issue, hope it all works out for you. I will keep an eye out for your stuff. I am almost done with the rough vox on "no friend". Blues isnt my thing necessarily so not sure how good it is going to be.

Wow, you've got some great tones happening here. Love the rhythm thing. Swallows you right up like cannon smoke.

Great stuff!
I really don't know the terms used with this genre to describe what I really liked about this, but that I liked it very much will have to suffice! Keep up the good work!

An oasis
Nice intro, excellent transition into the acoustic guitar continuum and the song poignantly bookended between harsh tones and claustrophobic metal. Really nice.
