Covered-poem by Jack Miller, added vocals by Rich Schletty

Description
This is Jack's (Dadai2)) sweet worship poem, _Covered_, set to music. When I read it, I knew I wanted to sing it, so I arranged the verses into a song. Instruments- my Gibson acoustic and Garageband violin and piano.

Rich Schletty (Lardo) added real nice harmony vocals. Incidentally, Rich's take on Jack's poem is here: http://www.macjams.com/song/60439

Both Jack and Rich helped with the mixing. Thank you, my friends.:-)

Lyrics
Covered , by Jack Miller 2010
[based on Romans 3:21-31]

The blood of Christ
It covers me
The blood of Christ
He died for me

My sin taken
His life given
No condemnation
He has risen

Declared now just
No merit mine
By grace now blessed
Free gift I find

A new heart given
Faith to obey
His yoke easy
Christ led each day

God of heaven
Savior He
This soul, blood-sealed
Eternally.

Hi, Ed!
Thank you for stopping by. I'm real happy that the ending had the effect I desired- He is risen, and all who belong to Him will be changed in an instant.

Beautiful...
Roxylee - you did a wonderful job of putting the poem to your original music.

And to both you and Richard - thanks for taking this from poem to song. You two sound great harmonizing together, you really do.

Mucho credit to you, my dear friend Jack, who got the ball rolling with a positive response to a frightening nightmare. Tell them about it.

sweetness
very uplifting singing and it is nice to hear you, Roxylee, being out front, and Rich doing the harmonizing for once! :-) I know the voices are supposed to be prominent here, but I would have liked the guitar work to be a little crisper in the mix, it seemed very soft. Great voices, nice instrumentation, very sweet song.

Savior He
I really see why you wanted to put these words to song. violin and piano a nice touch but its the voices that bring this to life. There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. Never forget this!

My two cents:
Just a beautiful worship song, sung with palpable sincerity and understanding of the lyrics. In a liturgical setting, this song will touch hearts and left them to prayer. It is so nice to hear a song like this that is NOT over-produced. Blessings on you.
