Over, a capella

Description
I just listened to Yordbear's music ( http://www.macjams.com/song/59591 ) with this poem and thought I'd record the poem, sung. I had Ambient enabled and thought it sounded all right, so I just left it as it was. No rehearsal, one shot. And I didn't use a click track. :)
I will re-sing if you need it without all the damn echo.

Lyrics
There are routes of real and flights of fancy
There are dreams that go unsecured
Pouring out my heart has been most chancy
The loan of it was uninsured
>
I am not a woman who lightly treads
I know now, that I run full tilt
The rough wind tears my garments down to threads
And stardust falls through as fine silt
>
And though I stand now, without protection
I have learned well to fix my gaze
I understand the barbs of rejection
I wander far within the maze
>
It's over now, that we are parted
There's no going back anymore
To begin once more where this all started
There's no opening of that door

How Pretty
You have a very unique voice, kinda reminds me of Kate Bush. I love A Cappella pieces, and the echoing effect adds a nice touch. Really sweet!

Poetry
I DO like the serious side of your work. You are a fine lyricist. There is a whispery restraint in your vocal delivery that works well here. Really nice.

Ah, the
Reggie was up and about. I thought, why not? I believe I sang this, for myself, a long time ago, with a faster cadence. Thank you so much. :)

Great Concept
I'm impressed this is one take. It's also another case of you sharing, what's essentially an experiment, with the MJ community. The melody you sing is well constructed. Your phrasing is very nice. I find the effects somewhat distracting, but that's just me.

I never even heard it
as a stand alone. I had Ambient Vocal slotted and when I played it back, I thought "What the hey?" Yeah, I had no idea that Ambient was all echoey. I could post the vocal stripped of the effect. Some parts of it bothered me too. I wonder...I could probably merge tracks or pieces, some with the effect and others without. It might be nice with some music. Thanks. :)

Karen
that is a very sweet thing to say. I've only been a visual artist. I always sang... from the time I could speak. I was making up melodies as a very little kid. I never would have guessed I'd be making songs, albeit, with a lot of help. You have touched me. I am grateful. Thank you. :)
