Description
Drakons (http://www.macjams.com/artist/drakonis) wrote and recorded the original tune here:

http://www.macjams.com/song/53204 (an instrumental)

The first version of it I heard was with vocals from Sister Savage:

http://www.macjams.com/song/56248

Something about her voice really hooked me. The combination of Eduard's composition and that incredible voice
really inspired me to join in. I heard bass, guitar drums and (of course) glockenspiel.

This is my version of the song.

Thanks for listening.

Terrific production!
I think I heard the other versions you mention Steve, and this too is pretty amazing. Sonically you have done really nice stuff here. Love the Glock!

Glocks galore
Jethro tull used to use a glock to accent vocal and guitar lines. I always loved that. Zappa also used mallet instruments often. I've always liked the sound. You don't often hear it in this genre, but I thinks it sounds pretty cool.

WOW
I think I heard Sister Savage's version, and didn't hear the things you heard. Cool how your additions made the track go (even) deeper and darker.

Into the darkness
I added quite a bit of bottom end to this, adding both deep synths and a bass. In addition I tuned my guitar down a whole step to reach the low notes. I'm glad you like it.

Stevo
always going to be an exciting ride when i push the play button belonging to anything with your name on it. Nice dueling going on in this as well as some brilliant arrangements of other instruments. Not something you would find in the hit parade, but that is a good thing. Love the voice, very suited.

Awesome work here Steve
Maybe the catchiest tune I have heard come out of the Tonestone's music machine yet. The vocals are definitely getting drowned out but I am sure that is because you were working with a single file that was already mixed. Hopefully you can get all the multis so you can bump up the vox. Sounds awesome, has an Evanescence vibe to it.

Really love this twisted version... you've injected with some much-needed DarkProgTones, amazing how you were able to rework this, beautifully re-sculpted, your guitar work, as usual, just shines... I love your playing for REAL the synth guitar lines I originally pencilled in, wheee! Thank you for taking an interest in this project and polishing it beautifully.

I liked the original version of this too. I was (and am) knocked out by the vocal track and overall feel. Nice touches, Steve, or TonesTones, as Drak would have it. A definite DL.

Fantastic!
I'd love just a bit more "stomp" to the backbeat, but otherwise a great piece.

Man dude!
I agree with danse....throw a heavy thumpin' backbeat on this and call it perfection! to me this took this song to a whole new dimension a 7 to a 9 in my opinion and that's a huge jump!

Most inventive MacJammer
Very, very inventive -- as always. I went an listened to the Drak track to see what you did. You did a lot but it's pretty reverent to the underlying track's feel. Sister's voice is borderline low-level in terms of remaining the lead instrument, although it's still easy to make-out the lyrics, so you and that marvelous multiband compression* are doing fine. I envy your creativity, and the chops to make it go so many interesting places. (*it's become my favorite weapon ever since you turned me onto it last summer.)
