Description
A dear old friend and pastor, passed away a couple of weeks ago. He helped me to organize my spirituality to what I have today. Andrew Rogness struggled with cancer for three years. Today, he paddles on pure lakes as he explores the ultimate wilderness. I will call from my memory of him as I move on.

This song is a short version of what I wanted to accomplish. Ahh time.

This is another re-working of "Truth." I just can't get away from it. But I've been playing around with this for a couple of weeks. I may, more than likely write something more tailored in the future to my old mentor.

All the best,
Doug

Lyrics
Starlight rests on the branches and the twigs of the night

Lift my head take a breath take a step I'm alright

Branches' cradle home
take me with you
beneath the dome
of distant thoughts and ideas for all time

Sunlight rests behind the blind contemplation of night

Solidify truth in sparkle cast light

Branches' cradle home
take me with you
beneath the dome
of present thoughts and ideas for all time

Boy....
Doug, this is beautiful. Sad to here of your loss. Yet he left you with much from what you write above. He has entered into that for which he was created and redeemed.

beautiful vocals.. so evocative and moving, just a beautiful track.

Wilderness
I can just see him paddling around on pure lakes in the wilderness as I listen to this song. Beautiful, contemplative vocals and lyrics. What a lovely way to honor your spiritual mentor.

Very nice Doug
Quiet and serene, this gentle song you've done.

I was beginning to think it was an instrumental until you finally started the vocals about half way through. Funny thing, even though It's an unconventional way to put a song together, on this piece it seems to work.

Maybe it's because you put so much feeling into the entire song.

Sorry for the loss of a friend and mentor, Doug, your Spirit Guide.
