At Work - new orchestra recording

I made a new recording of my composition "At Work". I made one before that was done with the Apple Jam Pack. However, because I can use Garritan Personal Orchestra now, (thanks to Richard Schletty who bought a license for me!), I was able to make a much better bounce. Please let me know what you think, I want to keep on improving my skills as orchestrator but also as midi composer. Mayne i need to mix it differently?

Excellent composition
Love the music you wrote here (and your other pieces)... a fun theme, nicely handed to different instruments to play. The recording does sound a little "thin", and I think it is that each track needs more equalization spread. For example, I could hear some timpani rolls in there, but just barely, because nothing really stood out. I think that if you went to each instrument track and tailored its EQ, then each instrument would stand out better. There's no easy formula for this, as far as I know, just practicing and trying things. But if the violins, woodwinds, brass each stood out a little more, the recording would shine much more brightly... which it should do, because this is a wonderful piece of music.

Thanks for the info, I am still not skilled in things like working with the EQ. I know it can bring range of frequencies forwards, but I don't know where of for which instrument I should do this.

Thanks! I am still struggling with getting a good mix, I am examining the eq inserts in Logic now but cannot find what I am looking for. It would be great is there was an eq patch that would open up an orchestral mix by itself!

I feel some percussive phrases in there. Not that it needs it, but you could maybe try some tympani/cymbals in there... Very dynamic. Probably doesn't need that, but your work is implying it I think. Crescendoes etc. You wouldn't know until you tried it. Might ruin it to do that, but it's worth trying.
