Description
The end of 2010 was a very difficult time for me.My girlfriend was still unsure if she wanted to be with me or go back to their parent´s home at the country because she is unemployed for 6 months, unable to pay her university.

So I started to escape from reality by other means and this song is a snapshot of that time (thank God she decided to stay despite the hardships).

There is a very curious story about the construction of this.I was working on it and then took a 7 day break to visit my mother.I carry an unfinished instrumental version to work on lyrics and ideas while away (I have no internet access there).
Turns out I write a verse (the second) and when I return, eager to record it, I find out I had not already written the verse but sung, identically as I did far away.
I really don´t remember singing this...

Andy_W provided the saxophone here.Thank you very much.

Lyrics
After the dazzle of day is gone
Run back to where you´re from
Flashes exploding in your face
It seems fair but it´s a race
All the trains have finnally stopped
Bottle has a few, few drops

and I can hear its taste

Stop
I don´t wanna hear them
Stop
I don´t wanna taste them

Still I see your voice

You look so tired is a quiet night
A drop of blood, a wave of light
Reapearring in/out of my sleep
Liquid shame, yours to keep
After mistaking dust for gold
Close your eyes, the day is old.

Stop
I don´t wanna hear them
Stop
I don´t wanna taste them

Hey Carlos!
Good to see you back onsite friend!

Unusual, but appealing this... Nice lyrics. Authentically pained delivery.

Middle eastern style sax-playing adds sonic color...

Glad your situation resolved itself in a good way my friend.

Be well!

I usually
only take the time to write lyrics here when they are intersting enough or if they have some kind of sentimental value.
I used to bring my memories back with someone else´s music. Now my own music is doing the job.
I think it´s a sign of some kind progress.
Thanks for listening.

Nice content
Interesting how the times in our lives can correlate so directly with the music we make.

Track back
Man, gonna have to take a closer look at your back catalog. I like so many styles of music that I have to make over a dozen catagories to store them all in some logical form. I have this folder called: "=Klsik+Modrn Avante Gaurde+Arty+Progressive."
If you released an album, that'll be right where you'd be stored. Respect. Sam

Unique
Hi Carlos. First time I have heard your music I think (being a fairly new member) and I enjoyed the experience. This is quite different from most of the music I have listened to on MJ but I found it intriguing and compelling at the same time. Andy's "middle eastern" sax just adds to the unique nature of the song. Thanks for the posting. Regards, Peter.

Synaesthesia
Getting closer to Mark Hollis with this one.... Great instrumentation (sax, of course, but I also really like the way the guitar is played), fragile vocal up in front. A fine listen!

Seeing voices!
How unusual and compelling, has a sound of improvisation about it which is cool. A forgotten jam from a bands back catalog whilst milling around in the studio. Good one

seeing voices
this is strangely cool and hypnotic. the synth-electric sounds fading in and out are sublime, as is andy's sax....especially out on its own at the end.

Very cool....
This is a very enjoyable track to listen to. Reminds me of my improv days living on the West Coast listening to bands like the Sun City Girls...great job. The sax sections definitely added to the mix in a positive way.

Heart beat of the bass drum
I like the chord progression. The bass drum is like a heart beat. The vocal delivery fits these lyrics really well. Andy's sax adds a really cool dimension. Kind of like a snake charmer. Very unusual tune. I like it.

yrp!
interesting the story in this how you come to your ideas and what it takes for it to get done! The synth in this really bring you to another state and the constant bang bang there is no envelope with you don't ever fall into a box ! the horn puts it it all back to the ground! Excellent!

Very
emotional. This would make a great backdrop to a video where a man spends a night and a day looking for something and still can't find it. At the end of the video, he sits down on a chair in a large room and drops his head into his hands. Andy is great at conveying emotion with his sax. It was a very moving performance. Hope things are looking up for you and your lady. Thanks.
