Description
Just a metalish type song from me. It has a no mix and is raw version form. The solo was last min. I know some of the vocals are rough. But its a good start to a song that the band wants to do!

Dig it.
This song has all sorts of cool old school influence. I love it. I'd like to hear it tightened up, but this version has charm about it.

thats because...
Thats because I am old school. I call it middle aged rock. Its very loose. But just about all my demos at home are loose. I always try to make the home demos sound like a band playing in the house. Mainly by accident. ha! Thanks for the stop over !

Avant Garage!
It's hard to believe you weren't plugged-into an amp in a garage. I can almost hear the metal garbage can lids rattling and see the garden tools bouncing off the walls. Great tune - -captures the spirit of what drove me to pick up a guitar in the first place. The break at 2:18 is a brilliant touch. P.S.: You mentioned "metalish" in the intro note; I see it more in the Ramones tradition. Thanks for the Download.

P.S.: Man, I'd love to meet halfway -- Kankakee?! -- and jam, trading-off rhythm and lead, coming-up with some lyrics... hmm... collab?

lo-fi
Its also called lo-fi. You have to go with what you have. Im not a producer at all. I dont even mix it. haha
The song did rattle the antique picture frames in the home studio room. Meeting 1/2 way would be a cool idea . I have always wanted to meet macjam people in person. Make sure we bring cameras and mj tee-shirts! But also understand Im a bass player and my guitar is average at best! But Ill take a lesson!
Thanks for the stop and listen!

Old school

done very well. Loved the soloing Steve and the verse chords work really well with the underlying, simple bass bit there... nice space for the vocals to carry it. Bit tighter drumming and it's there imo.

Too slow for Ramones - and they don't play leads
but it still as a solid punk attitude with some of their Spector style in there too. Cool track. BTW - Ramones get lifetime achievement Grammy this year.

musichead said 2305 days ago (February 6th, 2011)
I dont play.....
I dont play lead either. haha I seem to fined the Spector sound for some reason. I dont mean to. Infact I dont ever hardly mix. And only 2 guitars bass and drums. It is too slow for the Ramones. Thanks for the stop over and listen!

Spoon. Ill have to look them up. Its funny the Bass is the only track I didnt redo and I thought it was real loose. Im going to tighten it up abit. I aways worry about the energry level. Im glad that energy is coming across. Thanks for the listen

It
has that nice garage rock feel.
The solo is nice and don´t seem tossed off at all. Also it´s great how the song gets calmer after the solo and then gains power once more for the chorus.
Downloading.

I just did about 3 takes on the solo. Just to fill in the space to see if it works there. I try and use tempo and volume changes all I can. It seems to help my songs. Thanks for the listen and download!

Garge
The Jazz sounds just right Steve. Putting a smile on my face. You're playing drums live? If so, well done. If you start selling stuff off (to "get all new stuff"). I'll have the Gretsch - must be time I had a semi acoustic.
Good listening.
Cheers from Oz,
Neil
