Relaxed, traditional tune...
Hi Jim. The dulcimer has a fantastic resonant drone and you have done a great job recording it for us. Nice, relaxed, traditional-style tune that I can imagine sitting round on the back porch listening to you play. Thanks for the posting. Warm regards, Peter.

Melodic Thoughts
Hi Jim! Really enjoyed this. i love the melody of 'The South Wind' (or 'Martinmass Wind' as it is generally known over here?)

It makes such a massive difference when the melody is good, doesn't it? You could really play it on anything and it would still have power.

i liked the ambience of the dulcimers, it gives it an immediacy that a bigger sound would lose, as if the listener is overhearing some else's private moment.

Great stuff. Nice to hear an Old English melody still going strong.

love the underlining strumming (or whatever that is)
and it amazes me every time when people strip down their songs as far as it can go because i normally overproduce every of my own songs - i learnt a lot from this - THANK YOU!

Nicely played
and that is what the essence of this is all about...not the huge layers of production ....which is an art form in itself but let us get to hear the real sounds bangs and clicks and fretty sounds and breathing and real stuff that goes on when we play.

This nails it ....I do not fully understand how the dulcimer is played, but it sounds great.

Cheers

Resonant
You have such an authentic tone in your playing. The dulcimer sounds great. The two track approach lets the tone of the instrument be dominant - much enjoyed!
