Description
Score from "Challenging Impossibility" premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival on Friday 22nd. Had the wonderful opportunity to score seven tracks for the film. This is a bounce before the final tweaks and mastering from a scene towards the end of the movie. I'll try to post a few more tracks "here".

The soundtrack also features Explosions in the Sky and the timeless 'Spiegel im Spiegel' by Arvö Part.

For New Yorkers - from what I've heard tickets to the 4 screenings are sold out but there is a cool pop-up gallery with multimedia and screenings of other short films at Jay St. 18 in Tribeca (that's a photo from the exhibit, ignore the guy with a big grin on his face;) which is free and open til May 2nd. Let me know if you're in the neighborhood - there are quite a few interesting events and screenings in the next few days - would be fun to see you there. Write me a quick note if you're interested!

Thanks again to Sanjay, Natabara (director/producer) and audio geniuses Ashirvad and Christoph for mastering. And michael2 for very helpful last minute tips on ambient and glitch processing!

Congrats
On getting to produce so many songs for this Interesting sounding film. Be great to hear this within the context of the film.

From what I'm hearing in your song it sounds, like something hard is trying to be achieved or something suspenseful is happening. All conjecture though lol But great piece of film scoring :)

Keeps on ticking...
Hey Parichayaka, I loved this! I am thrilled for you that your music will reach new audiences through this film, and I hope you will have many more opportunities to write for film. You are VERY good at it!

The ticking clock creates a degree of tension that I would imagine is related to the film scene, and is an effective device. It's interesting for me, because I generally associate your music with the opposite of tension – relaxation; inner calm. The tension here is very subtle, mind you, but I feel it. The sound is amazing.

Fantastic job!

Great sounding track
Just love this - ticking clock gives the theme, then the growing intensity with the key and rhythm changes. Love the introduction of the drums at 01:07

As always ...
... a great post of yours. I love the mixture of dramatic and glorious atmosphere here. Amazing how rich harmonies you are able to pack into not even a two minutes time. But most importantly thank you for contributing and helping to create such a beautiful and unforgetable document movie. Saw it just a few days ago.

Love the photo too. Is it from the red carpet? ;)
All the best

Exalted company
The intro made me think that Eminem was going to start rapping over this!

Just getting into the orchestral sweep but then suddenly it's over - short and very sweet. Look forward to hearing the other pieces.

excellent
I'd love to hear the entire soundtrack. I love the way you weave the ticking clock in and out. Someday I'll figure out how you get your pieces to have so much depth and aural space. It's just superb production. Congrats on this big opportunity - sounds like you really did it justice!

Film scoring
Way cool. Great gig. Love the hints of multiple meter, the sense of immediacy, urgency, foreboding, drama. Builds like a Philip Glass soundtrack. I look forward to hearing more. Nice.

Edgy...
Not the kind of music one might relax to! Yet I thoroughly enjoyed this as a film track. No doubt it works incredibly well with the intended video. Very cool that you nailed down this gig. Hope it translates to more of the same. You are definitely a talent to be reckoned with. Glad I caught this.

Nicely done
Forward motion, anticipation, urgency, and possibly danger.... they're all here. This is really skillfully put together, and it is so suggestive of visuals that even without the film it works brilliantly.

Congratulations!
Doug
