Lovely
I thought the initial exchanges were very appealing. It made me think of a young child learning the steps of the great dance, the adults represented by the orchestral side, and the child by that lovely soft solo sound.

In this context, the tenderness and power of the adult attention contrasted wonderfully with the innocent curiosity of the child. Also, i noted with pleasure that the solo never quite imitated the adult lead, but built its own melody into the responses, as if to represent the fact that each dancer, though making a familiar way, is nevertheless always unique.

When the two came together, it was quite emotional!

After that, the initial narrative extended beautifully through highs and lows, sadness and joy, but always together.

A rare treat, this, and greatly enjoyed.

one of my favorites
i love the cor anglais and use it often. this is a beautifully written concerto, using the instrument in it's best range - such a warm and inviting sound. great call and response, and the orchestra provides a perfect support for the horn. i love the orchestral/flute interlude in the middle. what software are you using for this? great sounds for the orchestra and excellent flourishes on the horn. I would maybe have liked to have heard a little more of the brass throughout the piece, but i'm a bit biased since I used to play french horn. congratulations on a very accomplished composition. ooh..love the key change at 5:30ish.

Beautiful
Such an expressive instrument. I am still coming to terms with the fact that such lovely music can be computer generated. Software has come a long way since the early midi stuff I guess!

This is indeed a wonderful composition, much kudos for you writing it. I look forward to hearing the rest.
