"Granny called Jerry from the nursing home
She'd pulled a handle in Atlantic City
And couldn't spend all that money alone
Jerry raced over to Grandma's right away, while he was there he heard his Nana's TV say,
"If I was a little blue dog, banging on the window pane
would you let me in at night or leave me out singing in the rain?""
Granny asked Jerry for a Dobedo, Jerry said, "Granny, how I envy you.
Who am I to disagree, this is the last you'll see of me."

Sunshine, tomorrow knows the cost- sunshine...
"If I was a little blue dog, banging on the window pane
would you let me in at night or leave me out singing in the rain?"
(Let him in)

Cultural dialogue
Naw, has nothing to do with me. I never write about me, I'm boring...lol.
The "Little Blue Dog" is an ill variety of compassion. It is everywhere in the mass media. This compassion is paraded by opinion leaders to illustrate why something completely foreign to our wants and desires is being accomplished. The example in the tune is personified by Jerry's grandmother. She didn't win the jackpot. She is trying to get the means to escape her life. We have compassion for the character, but Jerry finds his Nana's use of recreational drugs to be unacceptable. We are being driven to accept just giving Grandma the pain pill by the current mass deception, poly-pharmacy in the nursing home is already the norm, ergo... compassion without the "Little Blue Dog" is modeled by the character Jerry. You must decide what is the right path.

Escape
OK, I'm starting to get it now ... I think (and when I say "I think" I'm probably flattering myself). The better, and responsible, choice is to shoo the doggie away. Maybe it's just me, but your explanation to papag might sit nicely in the description box. As for the soundtrack, I think it's genius. Sunshine section is great. Fight the fight, man. Push 'em over.

I appreciate your interest in this project.
Preparing this feast was difficult, I put a great deal of effort into making what I heard, this still is not what I heard, but I had to stop! It is what it is! The piece speaks for itself, if you listen...
I am working on the fourth tune exclusively. We'll see if I can finish the thing...

Hello Mike
Thanks for stopping in and checking on the little blue dog. I will try to answer your question...
The technique for this resembles portrait painting as practiced by the masters. Layers. There are four forms. The transitions between the forms is the "natural" point of interest, 'cos they are "short", the sensation of constant movement is produced. Elements from the start of the piece run to end, so there is a strong feeling one "connectedness" going on...
There are many "versions" of this piece.

Hello Vic
Naw, I'm boring. But I think you have actually offered me some encouragement, in your backhanded manner. Thank you so much Vic. "The Little Blue Dog" is what it is... There is nothing like it anywhere, and I would agree my pieces are easily identifiable, even in the darkest of rooms. Being amused is a novel experience at MJ? Say it isn't so... you crack me up man!

"The Little Blue Dog" is a Loony Toon, a Merry Melody?
Naw, IMHO it is an accurate reflection of the world you live in... if I was "out my mind"
could I have made the piece? And besides, how could you know?
I am glad you stopped in to listen and add your voice of encouragement to the proceedings! Thank you. Find yourself in rare company here...

You are correct. There are many versions of this, I could not get a stable piece, cos I would hear it differently, and the guys were giving me input, what we ended up with is not what I heard, but is clean in the sense that you can easily hear what is happening.

Man, this is out there!
I kept looking over my shoulder for Blue Meanies! This song is profound, disturbing, and yet completely endearing. Superb execution and top-shelf production values. But I'm still freaked, man. :) You use dissonance and atonality with surgical precision, the consonant harmonies that sneak in are rendered almost shocking by their placement. You're either a genius, or completely mad. More likely, both, I suspect. :)

Orchestra Chaos of a high degree
Right from the top this piece involves the listener and relentlessly pulls them into an orchestral web with no escape. It's high drama, hysteria and intensity. Love the randomness of the rhythms and the heavy brass inserts. Serena

Fascinating psychedelic journey. I dig the "Sunshine" that breaks through before and after the storm. And the harp. And the collage of everything else simmering like a dream you can't awake from. Nice.
