Cool and Contemplative
From the soul of the native flute and the musical sensibilities of VicDiesel- like how the effects take this to another place.

Oooh!
Railway depot horns calling out for mates? Sea nymphs trolling the water for delicate and tasty shrimp? A troupe of minstrels lost in the woods, making sounds so they'll feel less scared? This is really interesting. Enjoyed it. Thank you.

Relaxing...
The initial bends really caught my attention and drew me in (just like that first breath.) Dizzying and enchanting performance and circular harmonies... I like it!

Friday loop
I am loving the way you are melding your acoustic and electronic worlds. What's most impressive is the acoustic side remains the focus. Of all the RC50 recordings you've posted this is my favorite. The block chords and subtle bends within the chords are very cool.

this is really beautiful. the idea of looping your flute parts was a stroke of genius. nice how the rhythm changes and then returns (although really I could have listened to the first part forever). really nice.

Penetrant
Really cool thing you did with a single instrument - a little noisy track, but who cares. Nice, man

In past lives, VicDiesel was a country fiddler, a shawm player at the Burgundy court, bellows pumper for JS Bach, Geoff Emerick's factotum, and a beggar playing drums in the streets of Calcutta for alms. Unusually, the memories of all that co... [see more]
