Description
This song started as a Who-type anthem but my friend William Read produced a midi-ed up version to my guitar and vocal tracks.

Lyrics
Squawkin' at my face
Has it only been an hour
since you came and took my time away ?
If you were in my place
would your ears be cauliflower ?
Well at any rate I'm sure you would not want to stay

And you wanna know why I argue
You should see what you are saying
And you wanna know why I argue

I disproved that point before
in the very first 2 minutes
Oh, you seem to have a listening impediment
This is not a tug of war
but you seem to want to win it
Later when I'm gone, you'll wonder where the answers went

And you wanna know why I argue
Are you hearing what I'm saying ?
And you wanna know why I argue

Who gave you my number ?
Please don't call me here no more
It seems the time has come for me to tear that damn phone right off of the wall

Oh you spout off anything
so I get to watch your brain work
Let me tell you, it is not a pretty sight to see
You get off on arguing
but your words are just a kneejerk
Sometimes you don't even know it if we do agree

And you wanna know why I argue
Do you see your branches swaying ?
And you wanna know why I argue

And you wanna know why I argue
Do you feel your edges fraying ?
And you wanna know why I argue

You and
your friend that have a difference of opinion need to part company. :) Nice job. Cooking up a great sound. You don't sound like someone who likes to argue. Thanks.

Cool
I always enjoy seeing synths used to good effect in straight up pop music. In this case the burbling is a great way of giving some interest to that carpet of guitars.

But eh, this is not a short song, and that drum pattern gets a tad monotonous after a while. Around 2:00-2:15 you change the synth, but the drum just keeps on going. And since it's a complicated syncopated rhythm it's kinda noticable.

Lots of lines to enjoy here "see what your saying" , "words are a kneejerk"...met a few people like that. Nice to hear something a bit different. Had echo's to me of mid period Julian Cope. Good stuff. Cheers mark

Well said
Rip that phone off the wall. Talk to the hand. Sometimes we just have to become unavailable and unlisted. Enjoyed the lyrics and the music. The little blippy synth was a bit loud in the mix, but otherwise a great performance and enjoyed your singing too.
