Description
I recently recorded my drums and added them to Pablatone's song. He gave me permission to go ahead and upload it here. I think it is a really cool song and had to play on it. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks to Paul.

Lyrics
Hey Cool Water by Paul Silva

I have traded all my gold
for a name of small reknown
I have sold my very soul
for a paper party crown
I have claimed to walk on water
while the tangles dragged me down
but I have kissed the face of God
though I was lacking

are those rivers good?
are they from my heart?
will they flow like this forever,
or in fits and starts?
if you want then I will test you-
where do they go?
I thought I had a premonition
but I don't know.

Hey, cool water
I have stumbled here upon you once again
I've been wasting all my days on the devil's daughter
I guess I'm just another ordinary man.

are those rivers good?
are they from my heart?
will they flow like this forever,
or in fits and starts?
if I had forsight
I would tell you all that I saw
once I had a premonition
now it's gone
so gone

hey cool water
I have stumbled here upon you once again
I just wasted all my dreams on the devil's daughter
I guess I'm just another ordinary man

Hey Cool Water By Pablatone
I agree! A very cool song and equally cool vocal. The drums are rock solid. Good sounding mix. The acoustic guitar sound is great!

A great song..
I loved this song when it first surfaced and often find myself singing to it on my iPod playlist. Steve, your drums give it some extra solidity. Nice mix. Thanks for bringing to the attention of MJ'ers again. D/L

I had to do it. There is a lot of MJ'er songs on here that I jam to every night and this one was calling to me to play on it.

Thanks Tempie
Yes, Paul has some good songs and this one is right up there. I can't wait to jam on some other MJ'er songs too. This place is a treasure trove of excellent songs to drum to.

Very nice job Steven! I am duly impressed. You have an excellent touch on the drums, how did you mic them? It a tastey balance. Thanks for doin' this.

Alesis electric set
Thanks Paul. I have my Alesis' out going into a cheap mixer and then into my Mac's input and into Garageband. I had to turn everything way down. In fact I could only hear your song playing while I was recording. The ride part during the guitar solo was somewhat of a surprise. I didn't realize that I had played it that way until I listen to it later. Thanks again for letting me do this.

Great sound
Love the feel of this one, and everything contributes - the lyrics, the vocal style (love it when those harmonies kick in, too!). Clean guitar sound both on the general strumming and in the solo, and solid drums. Much enjoyed!
