Description

Collabs. are welcome here . . .

There is space in this one for voice, congas or whatever your desire.

I realize this song is completely divorced from tempo, floating around in space-time, and hopelessly rubato in nature. It is intentional.

Majestic Indian Elephant.
Weeping Ganesh.
It is too much to post a photo showing how they are being slaughtered in Kenya and other places.
I understand how it could be tempting and high-buck for the poachers - perhaps.

I think twice about playing on real ivory keys sometimes.
They also exhibit post traumatic stress.
Young are often snatched and moved right after their parents are killed.
The young then carry it with them.
Some will then turn and kill local's cattle as pay back.
Worse yet, some of them trample and take people while they snooze.
They are very artistic and creative creatures.
I'm sure most of you have seen how well they paint and draw.
- that is when harnessing their skills, and being nurtured and trained to do so.

Musical ideas culminated, collected and rehearsed over the last month.

Recorded Sept. 13, 2011.

Stealth Acoustic Pick-up used.

Alvarez ADS-70 Six-string.

Kustom Profile One Mixer Amp also used.

Guitar Recording Technique - Two single tracks hitched / caboosed / bumped into eachother (end into beginning) in two sections; the first being 5 minutes and the second is 2 minutes.
No layering on this one.

Lower 'pad' patch - Ensoniq ZR76 workstation.

Guitar is tuned to a D minor chord here.
(D, A, D, F, A, D, bottom to top, left to right)

'Cool Edit Pro 2.0'.

'Creative Media Source' Stereo Interface and software.

Hi Scott. A fine instrumental piece that held my interest and provided many fine moments. The guitar tone and recording was very good and the harmonics were well handled. Enjoyed the journey. I'm a big Ganesh fan, too. Regards, Peter.

Remembrance
is a proverbial forte of elephants, of course, and is a sign of an advanced creature, surely. In Kipling's tale of the animals in a army advancing with the troops in India and discussing the situation, the elephants alone appreciate the danger and the pain that they face, and alone have serious misgivings! Sorry i cannot remember the title of the story now, but you probably know it.

Passage at 1:27 very nice.

Enjoyed it

The open tuning gives that ethereal drone quality to the piece. I like the harmonic touches
and the drifting melody. Nice recorded sound. Enjoyed listening.

Guitar story
Beautifully recorded - bright, rich sound to the guitar. Evocative melody - its rambling nature being part of this. Much enjoyed.

Wonderful Feel
Haven't been around much these last few years and see that I have missed a real talent here. Just lovely tune that says what it needs to say when it needs to say it and let's you think about it at the same time. This place has always needed more true musicians and you are one my friend!
