Description
Here is the 3rd piece in my "Moments for String quartet" bundle: "At Work". Again recorded with the Kirk Hunter Solo Strings 1 software library. I really love this library! Thanks again, Richard, for this great present.

In search of realism.
If you can't afford to house and feed a small string ensemble in your home or apartment, Kirk Hunter's virtual string libraries are the way to go. We have tried other libraries and Solo Strings 1 is the best by far, so far. When we get rich, we might add LA Scoring Strings to our arsenal, but for now this is more than adequate. KirkHunterStudios.com has a group buy going on right now until Thanksgiving which means discounts that may reach beyond 50% off. We are looking at Solo Strings 2 (with TVEC 3 technology), or even possibly Concert Strings 3.

As far as composing goes, I really like what André has been doing in his original pieces. He is the New Romantic of the 21st century!

It's been a while
since I listened to a string quartet, and my ears are that much older than they were, but this sounds wonderful to me. I can almost picture four individuals bowing their little hearts out in a spirited performance. Nice.

Thanks, everybody
Thanks so much for these great comments, all I can say that this is the result of a very good string library and of course, a lot of fine tuning of the recording in Logic Studio. Like Richard mentioned in my previous piece, I wrote little by little a tutorial on how to create a good recording with this library and think I am coming very close to get things real. Making this recording and tweaking it took me about 1 week. It's a lot of work on every little phrase but it's worth the time.

wow
that is amazing how you got this realistic sound. maybe I should stop playing with synths and learn how to work the strings better. beautifully done, and a really nice song too. could see it in a 1970's era crime comedy/thriller where they're all dashing about trying to catch the killer, who's dashing about trying to change the crime scene.
