Dingle Dangle
That rubbery slappy tappy thing you have happening here is quite cool! Nice bass lines too!

Rubbery, Slappy and Tappy
When I have some more ducks I will name them Rubbery, Slappy and Tappy. When this song has gestated for a while I 'll give it a proper title too. Thanks for listening.

Thanks, Sis
The change at 2 minutes was what made me persevere with this - well spotted. I'm not sure what this will become, but it does seem a bit oriental at the moment. Thank you for your interest.

Thanks, Mr Hound
I'm still reeling after hearing both Sisters' Universal collaboration and Khalilah's amazing vocals. It makes me want to finish this and several others I've had brewing for some weeks, but the day job gets in the way. Is it just me, or is the music on MJ getting more and more professional - sounding? Some of the stuff I've listened to this evening has been remarkably good.

New Title: Direct Box Boogie!
Nice! Super clean sounds with a loopy Michael Hedges / Keller Williams vibe - I really enjoyed this!

Any title
... is better than Dingle Dangle! I appreciate the Hedges reference, I must look into Keller Williams.
Thanks for listening.

great sound grah3am! the guitars sound super crisp. love the fretless bass... those things are hard to play. sounds good to me as is, but probably would sound great with vocals too. good luck!

Lots of work
is still needed here. It loses impetus at about 30 seconds, and the bass is wrong here and there. (All over, probably!) I like playing the fretless though. You get that French horn sound now and then, and that lovely slur when you move up or down a note without taking your finger off the fretboard.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Watch this space for a week or so while I work to improve this.

Wouldn't
lyrics sung in French or Italian or Spanish add to the mysterious vibe you've already got going? I was thinking of a Moroccan Casbah with a smokey and dark underground club. I don't know why. It is different, for sure. Thanks.

Tutti Fruiti
I have a CD set of SFX with some Turkish market noises. I'm a sucker for animal noises and other sound effects (blame Pink Floyd) so you may well hear some exotic hubbub in a future version.
Thanks for listening.

Slap bass is great, your guitar playing is very cool, Like the verb on that, gives it some great space. I would liked to have heard a bit more of that dream like guitar playing of yours, unique track sir.

Sadly
the slap bass is the sample on GB, played on a USB keyboard. My cheap bass won't slap, and sounds muddy, though it plays fairly well. Not sure if there will be more or less guitar later, as my usual method is to play everything and then pare away the non - essential parts. It started as a solo guitar piece, so I probably will put on some more. And dinosaur noises.

well, the prev song was sure short-lived! i must have been the ONLY person to comment since it was gone so quickly. but that's ok, D Dangle makes up for it. you have that tapping down to a T. i've tried it but i just sound fumbly. interesting guitar play on the left/right. love the 2:10 switch.

Hi Sam
I put them both up at the same time, as I haven't posted for a while. There's a guy in the UK called Matt (of Matt's Guitar Lesson) who showed me how to do "Drifting" . It may even be a free lesson - he often has special deals. Anyway, whatever I paid for the lesson it was worth it, as it opened up a whole world of Crim - like twiddling to me. And the Switch is why I like this tune. It's evolving way beyond its solo guitar tapping and hitting origins. As ever, thanks for your interest and encouragement.

Where's Adrian?
Or better yet, you could add some vocals. I was reading through the comments as I listened (the second time). Just as I got to tokai, I got to this part in the tune, and I says to myself, "Sounds like tokai would fit in here." Just a thought. Unique, and cool as ever.

Adrian's busy
... probably. I'm well into the next stage. It's now called "Chaos in Laos" (Or "Chowse in Louse", as someone once announced on local radio.) I've souped up the weaker first section, and it leads into the wacky guitar bit at 2.15 much better now. I'll add vocals when I've got the instrumentals all sorted. Right now it's obsessing me, as these things do, (I hope everyone else on MJ feels like this, and that I'm not a lone nutter) and whatever else should be part of it will occur to me in the next few days. Nice to hear from you again, Mr K.

Dingle Dangle
Interesting set of sounds used. Especially like the kick in the bass. Good move to make the change you did in the middle of the song, takes it another direction and gets away from the repetition of the oriental sound. Nice one!

Twangle
I've been working on the first section, fattening it up and making the change less drastic, and it begins and ends with a visit to a Turkish market. (Couldn't find a Laotian one!) Thanks for listening.
