Lyrics
Safe at Home

Safe at home, I’m wondering
Wonder what I did before

In my bed, I’m sleeping
Silver ships are on the shore

Many times I’ve come back…to you

In my chair, I’m thinking
Am I running out of time?

In my room, I’m hoping
Wishing for a peace of mind

Many times I’ve come back…to you

Break my bones and drown me
I’m a child that can’t grow up

In my mind, I’m leaving
Nothing will interrupt

Many times I’ve come back…to you

COME back
"Nothing will interrupt" So real for many who know where you're coming from baby. I dig the informal approach here. Heartfelt!

Why on earth would you have kept this one to yourself? I'm glad you decided to share it with the rest of us - I really enjoyed the dream like quality to this and a very "other" sort of feel about it. Any other gems you're keeping hidden away? Get them out there!

well I, for one, am glad
you didn't let this rot away! coolest thing about this song are the vocals, with the half-spoken echoes in the background. love the lyrics. I'm glad you kept everything low-key so that the vocals are really the main focus of the song. this is a keeper Mr. Armbruster.

Great lyrics. So open to personal interpretation. I always enjoy your approach to production. It really reminds me of the Stones during their trippy late sixties approach (think Her Majesty's Satanic Request). Great mix! That snare cracks beautifully.

The vocals do have that 60's psychedelic sound to it. Cool dreamy guitar and a catchy melody ... nice tune and lyrics. Was that Mick singing at the end? LOL!!Enjoyed!!

Chugging groove is effective. I like the drum fills. Nice change from verse to chorus. Repetition of the hook drives the point home and makes it stick.

Rhythm track...
strikes me as pure rock 'n' roll. I think that's why I like this number so much. It's easy to follow your musical logic and the production is very clean. I am not sure where the lyrics are going...seems like there is much more to this story. That makes me want to come back for the sequel. I enjoyed this song.

Yeah, it's a pretty simple song I must say. Who knows where I come up with the words?
