Description
A sneaky peak at my current album-in-progress, The Sins of Science. This song is about a relationship that has become distorted.

Enjoy.

First!
Full backing with driving bass gives a great bed for the vocal to lie in. Warm but urgent tone to the vocal. I like the arrangement -plenty of light and shade and always something happening. Spacious mix. Great soaring guitar solo around 3:30. Much enjoyed!

Thank you
Thanks for your comments and I'm glad you enjoyed the track. I like the guitar solo too, it's my favourite bit.

Nicely constructed
All sorts of nice things happening here: varied sounds and dynamics, vocals and production. Can't comment on the lyrics because I can't distinguish them sufficiently (which is my fault, not yours). To me this has a real Alan Parsons feel, which I think is a good thing. The artwork is cool as well.

Thanks
Thrilled that you enjoyed this. The lyrics are a comment to a former friend of mine who let me down and are therefore a little indulgent and referential!

Glad you liked the artwork, it was my brother's work. I think he nailed the "pompous and over-produced" feel of the album.

Sneaky picque
Sins of Science? Oh, dear. Well, anyway, it's a good song. Sounds a little like something that Curt Smith from Tears for Fears might do. Nice production value, also. Sounds great.

Many thanks
The Sins of Science is an ironic title - there are actually lots of derogatory references to faith and mysticism on this album. The title track is a tirade against blind faith and magical thinking. Or something like that :-)

Glad you enjoyed this one, and I am thrilled that you compared it to Tears for Fears! Thanks. :-)

A lot to like
Hey J.G., there is a lot to like going on here. Good use of dynamics and the arrangement keeps things interesting. Just a touch of the Moody's in the chorus. Enjoyed dropping by. Thanks, Peter.
