Description
Lest anyone be confused, I am aware that my title Prairie Dawn is the name of a Muppets character, and further aware that it is also the name of a line of women's clothing. This music has absolutely nothing to do with either. I just liked the title and found it had something to do with the music. (Um, titles apparently cannot be copyrighted, so I think I am safe on that score —- pun intended.) This is a simple orchestration of No. 22 from my piano series By The Numbers. If you are interested, the original score can be found here:

Something good is happening.
At least that's what I'd expect if this was part of a film score. It has a very uplifting kind of beauty to it, so having "dawn" in the title is really appropriate. There's also a strong but subtle rhythmic element to this that lends it a certain strength; I like strong rhythm so it grabbed me right away. Another instant download.

I can
see the day dawning over a verdant plain. Quiet, sleepy day awakens to morning sun light and warmth that bathe the land and color the sky with golden rays. You are amazing.

I think you meant "this is a simply beautiful orchestration...". Wonderfully dramatic - ebbs and flows with such grace. Very impressive, and so nice to just sit and enjoy - thanks!

Prairie Dawn
Wonderful piece of writing , well crafted as always .. kind of slow and hot which led for a heavy mood of the 'Dawn' maybe I m wrong but this is what I had from listening to this piece .. lovely piece thanks a lot for sharing !

There is
a pensive quality to your opening that reminded me of a French film track Not sure why but it did until about 2 minutes in when it subtly started to open up leading to a glorious "sunrise".

A wonderful atmospheric work Paul.
Cheers,
Charlie

Prairie Dawn
Delightfully restful music. I can imagine waking up in a beautiful place and looking across the prairie and seeing the day come to life. Very evocative and, of course, expertly played. Well done, Paul.

Prairie Dawn
I like the way it starts sort of "down" and then picks up momentum just like a real sunrise would, ending in triumph. I could easily hear this as a film score.
