Description
Some while ago I did a track, tune ,piece called "Sergio" a sort of homage to the
Spaghetti (and if I spelled that right it will be a first !) Western and a certain Mr Morricone, well Sergio is back in his sequel....I used the same chords and tinkered so hat it hopefully retains the theme but is different enough to be ...well a different tune.....and hopefully the right key harp .....

I like the dusty western vibe. Some really nice banjo and harmonica runs. That twangy electric guitar sets the stage nicely.

I think that there's
a fave part for everyone ....I redid the harp because I tend to play it in the upper ten and should try and keep it in the 2/3/4 position for more atmosphere and less screeching....cheers

Sergio...
nice n smoothe, I miss those pictures...and the flavas that I found in them musically...you've captured the sun, the shade of the rocks, the tumbleweeds, and the view just outside of town where it all begins...wonderful work my friend...:):):)peace

In top form Chris...
This is a well developed piece and all sounds great here! Thanks again, and by the way, it's spelled "pasketti" (I honestly have known people here in America say that--it baffles science!) Keep up the great work and take care now, Michael

Pasketti Weestron....hmmmm
does not quite have the ring does it ? Never mind,Michael ,glad you enjoyed ...I actually nearly took this one a bit seriously ....I even re recorded the harp after listening to Vic D on "silk Purse etc"....he suggested replace harp with bass and I thought no, but bass resonates ...play harp in the lower register and it will not be as screechy....

Cheers

Has that "on the plain with the gunslingers riding into town" setting - a languid feel in the heat of the day, but an air of expectancy. I like the combination of the different sounds - all very clean in the mix. I enjoyed this one!

Must agree the harp is my fav! Great job pulling off the western vibe! Nice tune you got here!
Jarvoid said 1890 days ago (July 22nd, 2012)
Hi Cassie,the harp
actually did get a do over....I tend to play it all over the place instead of of positionally ...thanks to Dan Gage and some other guys on You Tube who do excellent tutorial vids.......Thanks for saying so .Cheers

Maybe one of my favorite things from you so far. This is most excellent! All the instruments were played with just the right touch, and the mix is spot on.Enjoyed it much.

Thanks for saying so
perhaps I have struck my metier ,I did get a kick out of this and it more or less wrote itself....the only part that I struggled with was the harp....which I do insist in playing all over the shop rather than in the "positions" on the instrument ,so I rerecorded it and got the more sombre tone rather than the screechy tones that I originally had.

Thanks for dropping in

Cheers

It's a job to imagine 'hot and dusty' here in cold wet Wales but I must admit when I closed my eyes I was transported to such a place for the duration. Really enjoyed your composition, a fave and a download. Thanks.

Spaghetti
This is that but so much more I could only wish they would have started one of those shows with something as cool as this, raw on the banjo but I say bust them notes out and let it flow
another great one!

best
harmonica i've heard from you to date. You're starting to deepen your embouchure, and your note selection has improved. If I were you, I'd be working on controlling my bends -- but that's a mission, and probably the hardest thing about the instrument. I really, really liked the banjo, too. I always look forward to new pieces from you.

Yarst....I feel more comfortable
with this sort of work at the moment....blues harp is evidently a bit beyond my scope ....and as Dirty Harry Inspector Callaghan once said.."A man's got to know his limitations......" and they are absolute swine to record..... Thanks for dropping in.

Cheers

get a 'cozy' feeling listening to this one, like jammin around a camp fire. very intimate recording. sounds like someone recorded a special moment on front porch one evening.

Thanks Sammy
trying to be less frenetic and a little more controlled with minimalist instrumentation.....jeez that sounds more pretentious than I meant it to !!
