Description
GUY GROOVES WROTE:

This marks the one year anniversary of Ed Wemmerus "sloparts" leaving us behind to join to the big Jam that awaits all of us.

I found this open collab by Gorazd Bozic "bitfeld" (www.macjams.com/song/58504) and had been playing around with it for about a year when I told Ed about it. He took it, and in his OCD way created the bass line you hear literally over night. The man was a genius. I never met anyone who could actually create a midi track and make it sound like someone playing a real instrument but Ed came closer than anyone I ever met. I miss him as I am sure many of you do as well.

This is an open collab feel free to add to it whatever you would like. If you want separate tracks message me and I will get them to you. My guitar in this is nothing more than an indulgence and as I fumble my way through I hope you won't mind. (www.macjams.com/song/74424)

Please put your headphones on close you eyes and remember him with me.

Peace

Alannah: Although I have never met Ed (Sloparts) personally, I DID have the pleasure of knocking back some Mezcal one evening with Jeanne, Ed's Wife (Slopartner) .... so this tune is for her .... she knows what I mean by Karma .... I hope its OK with all parties concerned that I post this ... (I do believe I read the words OPEN COLLABORATION a couple of times) .. heh heh (another little ditty that I just sort of cranked out without messing with it too much ... forgive the mixing faux pas) ....

Lyrics
Karma is a mistress
One you treat with care
You must stroke her ego
Hurt her if you dare

You must give your soul to her
She’s a fickle mistress of chance
Take her into your arms
Hold her close and dance

Oh karma will catch up with you
If you do her wrong
Do not make false promises
Or she will sing her song

The payment she delivers
Is the same one that you gave
But she can give it three fold
Until you’re in your grave

Sometimes she will take her time
Until she shares her gold
But karma will come through for you
As a dish that’s best served cold

Good rocking backing and your voice is, always, excellent! I like the guitar - sounds a bit like The Beatles "Get Back" in style. Beautiful work, Alannah!

Thanks Alannah and Guy. You are right about Ed's bass line, Guy. Midi never sounded so good. Well done with the lyrics and vocals, Alannah. "Cranked it out" is OK by me. As for the guitar, Guy, it sounds just fine as is. Well done. Regards, Peter.

I wanna remix this
I love this song and I feel I can really make it sound big and professional with out taking away from the vibe. I have a pretty nice studio with some nice pro toys.

I use Logic, so if I can get all the individual tracks to start at 00:00:00. I promise you won't be disappointed.
