excellent
Another excellent tune. This really sounds radio ready. Great writing, production and performances. Your music stands out to me as some of the best there is to be heard on this site.

Guitar and voice
worked perfectly together. I would have really like to have seen the lyrics, there seems to be an ironic, menacing twist here(?) Overall this is a beautiful song with clean production. The end was cool as well:)

expressive vocals
Basically good musical ideas, mixed well. Your vocals are
the real strength of this tune; they're very expressive, and
have a variety of color in the sound. Your vibrato is
imaginative, and not over-used.

I would have liked to have heard a bit more variety in the
chord changes and overall texture, but this song on the
whole was pleasant listening.

What's that sound at the end supposed to be? Almost like
frantic sawing. It cut off very suddenly.

Another impressive song
John, I just read your bio. For someone who has only been
writing for a couple of years you are putting out some
tremendous music. I like this as much as Goes On
Without You. Very strong song and you do a fantastic job
transferring emotion and soul into your music.

Cool song
I absolutely loved the chorus/hook and your voice. That
sounded absolutely pro. Great lyrics. Great
production values. Just personal taste, but I wasn't in love
with the intro/verse music -- thought it was a bit slow
and dragged. A little more texture -- some other melody
perhaps.

Stop Posting....
and put together a damn demo! You're great. Your stuff is disc ready. I am left with little critical to say. Once again, lyrics would be great, so would artwork, but I feel like I am saying, "Sure, it's cool, but just because I'm crying doesn't mean it couldn't be sadder." Damn you are good.

Going to go drink myself to death to this one now. Yep, Leaving Slater.

p.s. you remind me of Tom McRae.

Very fine lyrics
The lyrics are very interesting ... you can really hear the character and get a clear picture of who he is.   Solid songwriting.   Stumbled-upon in the random rotation.
