Description
This is one that I started with a synth progression and over the week it grew....
Everything is in there but the kitchen sink I think. Used midi for GB synth sounds, choirs, bass, Kontakt strings and organ, piano, horns, sax lab for sax, godin acoustic electric, jazz master, sure 58 and 30 pots of coffee, peanut butter and toast and cake.
Thinking about mortality these days....

I feel you! I find my writing is often focused on mortality. That's the age we're at. Great track Stan. The word lush comes to mind. Great production and a pro mix!

Soul
stirring. Lots of synth, like how you did the harmonies for the vocals. Lots of meaning to the content. Mortality....you just cant get away from it. I'm with you on that, I think about it too. Nice production.

Very dark Stan. Hope it's good therapy, and helps pull you out of the darkness. Very well produced. Love the mix. Thumbs up.

Thank Fred
You're absolutely correct ... it is good therapy. Saves on medical bills LOL
.... thanks for noticing the Bonham influence. That is what I was trying to achieve ... they sounded nothing like that when I started. I played around a lot with different verbs and EQ.
Cheers Fred

Very easy to listen to, nicely put together. I think it reminds me a little of David Bowie. Excellent track.

Those damned crows - they are evil birds, imho! Anyway, they're inspired a fine piece of music. Big production - amazing piece of mixing here, Stan! Sort of religious feel to the opening. Emotive vocal, big drums, swirling guitars, fascinating lyrics. As always, I loved listening!

I
like the Bonham influence you have for the drums, my fav drummer and a great sound with some nice synth sounds. I like how the song builds with the instrumentation.
Great guitar tone and playing for the solo at the end, wonderful work Stan and very much enjoyed.

Must be the week for trying a different genre, Stan. This big production rock ballad is a surefire winner. The luxuriance of the arrangement is encompassing and engaging (how's that for a line :-)). Thanks, Peter.

Something different from you Stan, I like it. And yes, I have thought alot about my mortality lately over the last several years. Keys are really well organized...the guitar sets the whole thing off at the end, nice. Only nit...post those lyrics. peace!

something about this song reminds me of Prince. It has that delivery style similar to his and the effects on the guitar has that classic Prince sound.
