Description
I want to thank Peter, Soundhound, Peacepiano and TvRicky for their suggestions and comments regarding my first post of this song. I took your advice, pulled back the drums, fixed the ending and tweaked the mix,
This was my project over the past week attempting to do something with a reggae feel a genre I have not done before ... it was a challange but fun.
The organ is Kontakts B4, piano Kontakt acoustic piano, bass is done with my midi keyboard and GB's studio bass, addictive drums and my jazz master with a crybaby.

Liking it even more on second sitting, Stan. The ending is a bit tidier, I agree. That Kontakt organ sounds great. Great vibe. Enjoyed. Regards, Peter.

I like the groove this sits in. The organ is tone is excellent, as if the guitar work (funky solo in the middle for example). I like the echo on the vocal - adds atmosphere. The harmonies fill it out. Always something interesting happening, Stan. Love it!

Bass is rattling my bones....I like it. :) Lots going on here, but it all works nicely...the drums could be over the top here, but you have reigned em in nicely. Guitar kills as expected!

Painterly
Three listens. I'm awed enough, from the first sustained bass note, and through the spices, surprises and their presentations.. that I've yet to appreciate the words.. thx for dl! If that painting happens to be your view.. you're a lucky guy!

love the reggae
Nice tones on the guitar and that deep base off sets it well. The mix sounds fantastic and I'm digging on the well executed vocals. Really pro sounding. Thoroughly enjoyed.

It is
always the well thought out details that make your stuff sound so professional. I am amazed that one person makes a complete band and chorale. Tasty organ bounces on the sunbeams. Thanks.

Too much bass...
Maybe it's just on my side, but this track is overwhelmed by the bass – which is cool in itself, but way too much for everything else that's going on above it. ... Drums are great: amazing what you can do with plug-ins these days! I really like the feel of this piece...very smooth and with a distinctive groove that is very very engaging for the listener. All those little percussion pops here and there are tasty and well-placed, too, and so much fun to listen to. (I couldn't understand any of the lyrics. Just me? You sure seem to have had a lot of fun with the percussion especially, throwing in a whole lot of activity in the last 15 seconds or so. Even so, it was cool.

bass
Thanks for listening and your honest comments. Reggae is generally bass heavy but I did push it and tried for an extreme bass sound but I didn't know if it was too much. And I don't know if some people are just being kind and saying they like the bass so I'm confused. I did want a powerful bass sound and experimented with EQ-ing the low end down, boosting the low mids and tried for that BIG sound that would still work on mid sized speakers. Anyway, thanks again for your comments. Making music is always a learning experience!
Cheers
