Description
For listening on an almost-summer day... a lazy/bluesy instrumental featuring harmonica with acoustic nylon string guitar and - via iPad GB software instruments - bass, electric piano, and drums. Nice easy breezy feel ... love the sound of the nylon strings and the harmonica together. Now that must have been a great sail.
Enjoyed this Jack.
Cheers

Stan the man...
Thanks for dropping in for the this little tune. I just got the Ovation nylon a couple months ago and with less time playing guitar my fingers are enjoying it. It was a great sail, with a big storm thrown in on the second night out (see the song - Last Sail with Vic Holman, Micheal Wark, Neil Porter, Richard Schletty, and Mike Dancy).

Hey Skean...
You have a great summer too. I'm not sailing any longer, but I'm hoping for music and love. The download says it all, thanks!

I wanna go sailing...
If your jaunts on the sea are as comfortable as this little ditty, then I'd like to come along. ... Such a delightful little song that you keep simple and without need for any unnecessary fanfare. (Very much the opposite feeling of the foggy morning I am experiencing where I live.) Florida to New York? Are you crazy? That's got to be an awesome trip.

Sailing...
Most times in south Florida the jaunts are easy going. Tis particular cruise was a combination of lazy and hectic, nerve racking storm. We survived with some good tales to tell. Thanks for stopping in.

Nylons and Harp
Wonderful "organic" sound, Jack. The Ovation and the harp sit pretty together. Fresh and alive (but not too rough...) Easy does it on the tiller. Thanks, Peter.

I was hoping the new guitar would fit the song. I thought about using one of my steel strings. So it's good to know you think they work together well in this tune. Thanks.

Be my guest...
And add some lyrics and vocals. I played around with this progression for a number of months, thinking to add lyrics. Never came... enter the trusty old blues harp. Thanks, mate!

Kudos on the iPad App
What a nice mix. I've attempted using the iPad but end up turning to the computer. Love the tune and love that harp.

iPad app
Well, I wouldn't try anything too complicated on it. This time around I used the app for bass (plucking the simulated guitar), smart keyboard, and drums (that was fun creating my own drums with fingers and app). Glad to know you thought mix was good. That took a little work in GB and Audacity. Cheers...

Well, almost...
Our destination was N.Y., but we got waylaid by a tropical storm and had to seek shelter at Cape May, N.J. We left the boat there for the new owner to come down and get and sail up to her new home. I miss that boat.

I was trying to get a live feel. The drums kind of help in that direction. Thanks, Tim.

lazy vibe...
Busted! Yeah, I'm a lazy-vibe kinda dude, whether slowly sailing along in a 12-knot breeze or making music. Harmonicas are fun. Thanks!

nice
bluesy little run . . . I can totally hear this as the soundtrack for a beautiful, sunny day cruise . . . and then . . . on the horizon . . . a dark cloud . . . from the depths it comes . . .

I like your story line. A song? Get it started. Send it along. And... yeah, might then sit in a file and never get done. But still.. one never knows.... Great to hear from you, Craig. Hope things are well for you. And thanks for dropping in on your former roadie and sometime collaborter.

Took me right to Key West...
Okay, I've never been to Key West, but I live in the Tampa Bay area, so pretty close. This piece is perfectly at home on any of our fine beaches, sipping your choice of adult beverage and enjoying the company. :) Love the sound of the nylon string, has an almost uke-like feel, which I enjoy greatly! Thanks for the great mod piece!
