Description
As one of my classical song pieces, I wrote this one for my daughters to sing.
Nothing from them yet and it so needs vocals...

Lyrics
When the day has given all that I can take
I love to watch you sleeping
One by one my thoughts grow strong, I
Love to watch you slee-ee-ping

I remind myself of moments in our lives
And smile while you are sleeping
Taken by your peacefulness
I love to watch you slee-ee-ping

On a cold dark night
Warm inside
I love to watch you slee-ee-ping

When the morning comes and sun smiles on your face
I love to watch you sleeping
Feel this breath upon your brow
I love to watch you slee-ee-ping

As I think of lovely nestled close to me
I love to watch you sleeping
This, one day, will all be gone
Together we’ll be slee-ee-ping

Taken by your light
Warm inside
I love to watch you slee-ee-ping
Slee-ee-ping

I love to watch you sleeping
Delightful melody - light yet warm. Nice build-up in the instrumentation. Would be good to hear it sung - I'd give Rosalind a try if I were you (http://www.macjams.com/artist/Mosaica). Beautiful music, Christopher - as always!

Pretty melody
that is easy to sing and unpretentious — when the orchestra comes in around 1:00 the character of the number becomes suddenly very rich indeed. I don't know why you didn't continue with that kind of backing for the tune, perhaps coming back to the solo piano for the final pass. Nevertheless, this is just delightful.

Thanks Paul
Thank you for listening and commenting my friend.
This piece is meant to be simplistic and the voice very crisp and clear. A classical song indeed!
Although I take on board what you are saying, this is the song as it is supposed to be and not open to collaborative license. I do appreciate your listening though!
