Love the photo.
Ethereal. I can imagine a landscape like that from listening to this very gentle music that's full of echos moving off to infinity. I love the rising crescendos because that makes me feel exultant. Really wonderful. Thank you.

Hi, Char
Thanks very much. It took me forever to come up with artwork for this. I guess this one works OK after all is said and done.

Epic
Very nice Mr. Ex. This has an excellent sci-fi film score vibe. It wouldn't be out of place in David Lynch's Dune, used in one of the "out in the vastness of the desert" scenes. The photograph is appropriate! Very Eno-esque, if I may say so, not as complex as some of your other pieces.

I like the big swells at 2.00; the pad dynamics [I just made that up] are really good throughout. Not always easy, bringing those big swirling synth sounds in and out. Patience is needed and you've done it really well. Good, clear mix too.

One for the playlist, thanks.

Chhh-aaaaahhh-neee !!
Well, maybe. I wasn't thinking of Dune when I put this together. I guess the artwork is suggestive. Anyway, glad you like it. Yes, it's simpler than usual. I'm enjoying that lately. Thanks for the nice comments, Dave.

Really beautiful
Like is a rather weak word in the circumstances - I'm a fan :-) It's so very soothing with each note taking its time, without getting dull for a second. Good work, Sir, and an inspiration to listen to.

Thanks and take care,
Henke

Hi, Henrik
That's nice to read. It's a simple little thing, and I currently see that as progress towards a more minimalist approach.

The Far Sky
Nice work. I listen to Pandora's ambient channel during my work day, and I think this would fit seamlessly into that playlist. Very well done - thanks!

Hi, Sig
Thanks for coming by for a listen. I really appreciate the favorable comparison. I also listen to piped-in ambient at work, and it makes a huge difference in my attitude and ability to concentrate. Comments much appreciated.

Hi Ex....
I listened to this when you first uploaded it. It demanded more listening and so I have done that. I love the swirling and the sounds and, well pretty much everything about the mix.

I see where Dave is coming from. Eno-esque and Dune-iferous (I just made that up) both cunjured up by the sweeping soundscape.

Excellent mix.

Take care.

Paul

Hi, Paul
Yes, those are swirly synths, aren't they? No effort on my part. Such marvelous toys. Duneiferous works fine for me hahaha. Thanks!

Longing strings....
around 42 and following. Love that sound, that feeling of pulling toward the next chord and then settling there with such satisfaction and finality. You have used dissonance perfectly throughout the number (1:39 - 1:40 for example) the set up the valleys of quietude and peace. This is such a relaxing, tranquil soundscape. Just beautifully rendered, unrushed, precise, and lovely.

Hi, Paul
Your comments have caused me to look (or listen) differently and to think about tension, release, and the morphing of one chord to another. I used to pay more attention to that, and I will be thinking about it for my next project. So, I seriously appreciate your appraisal. Thanks very much.

I like it very much
This would be great as the soundtrack to a prestigious nature programme or some such. But it's very good as pure audio. Unhurried bliss.

I don't know how I missed coming back to comment
I do remember that I found this late at night, fav'd it and left the tab open in my browser. Sadly I just found it and never left even a thanks for the download.

Your selection of artwork is perfect for this piece. Otherwordly, but spacey sci-fi rather than fantasy based. I could easily hear this a a Dune soundtrack, or maybe something in space, but since it has less verb I think that a wide open landscape is more the subject - to me anyway. The harmonies just before 5:00 have a slight asian quality for a few moments and that leads me to feel that there either are or were beings that inhabit(ed) the vista we are now seeing. As usual, a patient development, you stay on topic as it were, and you let us luxuriate in the sonic spaces you create. Wunderbar!!
