Praia do Lourenco

Description
During a recent trip to Portugal, Ria and I stumbled upon the most exquisite cove, just off the cliff that we'd parked on.
As soon as I saw it, I began to write. Skipping and tripping all the way down it seemed and on to a lovely small beach area with just the two of us there!
In this piece, moments of reflection and a childlike innocence have their moments and of course my love for Ria.

You do get about, Christopher. Were you carrying a music pad with you, or did it all just start flowing around your head? :-) Very pretty music - warm, happy, touch of serenity. As always, beautiful work, Christopher!

Thank you Phillip
I started to write it as soon as I saw the view and was finished as the sun was setting (about 2 hours). All in the head! :)

The warm sentiment you felt for this place come across very nicely, Christopher. Lots of light and air. Enjoyed. Thanks, Peter.

Horn solo...
...most engaging. I like the gentle nature of this number, the episodic form, and the airiness the counterpoint describes so subtly. The flute around 2:00 comes in beautifully, taking up your tune with a serenity that is compelling and peaceful. This music is so unpretentious and, therefore, infectuous and very easy to understand. I really like the simplicity. So nicely orchestrated. Bravo.
