Description
The boys in the basement put together a country sort of tune ... bass, drums, 1 guitar track and vocals all done live. Rob mixed using Mackie's Tracktion 4 and Audacity on a laptop and I did the final touches in Garageband. I was going to put this under the country genre but it also says western and I think this would fall into a country rock category? ...
So ends another evening of spontaneous genre hoping ....
Stan Gadziola - Guitar, vocals,
Donnie MacNeil - Drums, vocals
Rob George - Bass, vocals-mix
Catherine French - bg vocals

Gadz Tucker. heh. very cruisy country flavor here. could have heard the drums just a tad more powerful.

Good tone to your vocal, Stan, and supportive harmonies. I like the tone on the guitar - a bit of Fender "cluck" and some country whammy bar magic. Rhythm section keeps it all tight. Excellent work!

Lovely solid, crisp opening. I think your vocal style works very well with this type of song, Stan. Some Knopfleresque guitar tones, too. Catherine fills out things very nicely. This really is a fine song. Thanks to all. Regards, Peter.

Great recording ...
and performances. Love the guitar Stan, and everything else really. I know the band recording situation pretty well now, and this really impresses - so clean and tight. One thing I'd suggest though is that Catherine's vocals could be less widely panned - she just seems a little too "out there" at that volume - it's the only thing that's not quite right for me.
Excellent post.

Classy country
Lovely work Stan.

Loved the vocals but as Neil says the bg vox would be better centralised. A tiny nit in and an excellent piece of work.

Cheers
