Super smooth.
Sophisticated chord progressions in here and some superb playing from all involved. For me this has a strange mood to it that I can't quite pin down; I enjoyed it though all three times I listened and I don't normally like Jazz, fusion or not. One thing that grabbed my attention is the way that in some parts the sax has way more reverb on it than the other instruments. That should sound odd and/or disastrous, but somehow here it works. Well done to all who took part.

background pounds...
...and pounds...and pounds. If you'd bring that DOWN and let the band sing more out front, I think the number would really work as a a powerful jazz improv. That bass is really distracting.) I like the generally serious feel to this number and the freedom each solo is allowed to realize. Some really good playing going on here.

This is fantastic ... I like the verb, it makes it very airy and haunting on the trumpet but maybe a touch too much... love the bass and superb drumming ... just a fine performed piece of music!!!!

Great to hear some jazz improv. Billy's keys remind me of Bob James. Some fine musicianship all round. I agree re the verb. Thanks, Freddy. Take care all. Regards, Peter.

Listened to this and the "tamed" version. I do like the second better - the instruments seem more "live" to me in that one. Fine playing from talented musicians. Good one, Freddy!
